If J-Rich doesn't get better soon, we will need to trade for someone to play in his position. It's obvious Cheany cannot play shooting guard since all teh shooting guards he's played against are much stronger, and well Cheany can't drive to the hoop. All he does is take the jumpshot and do nothing on D. We will need to get someone in a trade if J-Rich continues to be injured. Then when J-Rich comes back, we can put the guy that replaced J-Rich for a while as his back-up and then waive Cheany. A trade like this would be perfect Golden State trades: PF Clifford Robinson (9.2 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.9 apg in 26.8 minutes) SF Mike Dunleavy (11.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.8 apg in 31.3 minutes) Golden State receives: SG Ricky Davis (14.1 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.0 apg in 32.2 minutes) SG Ron Mercer (9.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg in 35.3 minutes) Change in team outlook: +2.6 ppg, -1.1 rpg, and +0.6 apg. Boston trades: SG Ricky Davis (14.1 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.0 apg in 32.2 minutes) PF Al Jefferson (6.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.2 apg in 15.6 minutes) Boston receives: SF Mike Dunleavy (11.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.8 apg in 31.3 minutes) SG Rodney Buford (7.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.0 apg in 20.8 minutes) Change in team outlook: -1.9 ppg, +0.4 rpg, and +0.6 apg. New Jersey trades: SG Ron Mercer (9.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg in 35.3 minutes) SG Rodney Buford (7.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.0 apg in 20.8 minutes) New Jersey receives: PF Clifford Robinson (9.2 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.9 apg in 26.8 minutes) PF Al Jefferson (6.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.2 apg in 15.6 minutes) Change in team outlook: -0.7 ppg, +0.7 rpg, and -1.2 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Golden State, Boston, and New Jersey being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Golden State, Boston, and New Jersey had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Therefore when J-Rich and Eddy gets better our starting lineup and other lineup become: PG: Speedy Claxton/ Derek Fisher/ Luis Flores SG: Jason Richardson/ Ron Mercer SF: Ricky Davis/ Mickael Pietrus/ Eduardo Najera PF: Troy Murphy/ Zarko Cabarkapa/ Eduardo Najera C: Adonal Foyle/ Andris Biedrins We would keep Double D on the injured list and someone else as well. Also we would have Davis start in Richardson's absence and when he comes back we would have a killer shooting guard small forward combo
PG: Speedy Claxton/ Derek Fisher/ Luis Flores SG: Jason Richardson/ Ron Mercer SF: Ricky Davis/ Mickael Pietrus/ Eduardo Najera PF: Troy Murphy/ Zarko Cabarkapa/ Eduardo Najera C: Adonal Foyle/ Andris Biedrins Where is Dale Davis?
Ricky is Garbage ... Dunleavy > Ricky ANYDAY ... I would like to trade Najera, Fisher, and Cheaney ... I used to like Cheaney because from what I saw ... was a good veteran who supports his teammates ... Fisher and Najera are ... BLEH! Dunleavy is gonna get his ... I should put that in my sig or something because I keep saying that ...
good trade but i dont think Celtics would trade Al Jefferson yet and plus trade him and Ricky for those guys? boston dont want to rebuild yet.........

Also Davis is more of a shooting guard that can play the small forward. Dunleavy can't score, and all he can do is pass. If that is the besr thing he can do, he should just play point for a desperate team. Davis would be perfect right now due J-Rich's injury. We would then have a starting lineup of: PG: Speedy Claxton/ Luis Flores SG: Ricky Davis/ Ron Mercer SF: Mickael Pietrus/ Eduardo Najera PF: Troy Murphy/ Zarko Cabarkapa C: Adonal Foyle/ Andris Biedrins Then our new lineup with J-Rich back would be: PG: Speedy Claxton/ Derek Fisher/ Luis Flores SG: Jason Richardson/ Ron Mercer SF: Ricky Davis/ Mickael Pietrus/ Eduardo Najera PF: Troy Murphy/ Zarko Cabarkapa/ Eduardo Najera C: Adonal Foyle/ Andris Biedrins It all works out since we lose Dunleavy
The thing I believe is that the Warriors are just suckers when it comes to trades, drafts, and signings. So if you happen to have a poor record and all the other GM's know their player's value and you have GM's that do know what the heck they are doing because of experience and a sound basketball ideaology... that just leave us bent over for every team in the league to exploit. We couldn't even Baron Davis, Jason Kidd, or Magloire if we tried unless it's a really unfair trade. Like some people mentioned that we have to overpay to get talent, the same thing goes with convincing other GM's to take our potential guys for proven, disgruntled stars or even aging stars. I mean does Mullin have the experience to put together a road map? What's the plan? Even if we do accumulate young talent that other teams would want, we would either fail to sign them or we'd overpay them so that they no longer become attractive to other teams because of the salary cap... It's really depressing.
