I totally forgot about him and I think the guard swamped Bulls and their fans may of as well. Can someone please let me know of any updates on him? Time due back? How rehab is going? Anything really.
The Chicago Bulls orginization has kept in contact with Williams, but they have done so out of loyalty the Bulls have stated they have no intrest in resigning Williams when he is ready to return to the NBA. Williams rehab is going very well he can now jump, run, and play pick up games without pain. He is not sure however how it will feel through 48 possible minutes of fatigue and how it will feel if it gets hit while he is taking a charge he should be ready to return to the NBA if all goes well sometime later this season or next season to a NBA franchise.
Go read his blog thing, on NBA.com. Thats how I keep updated, but its sad what happened to Jay, he had a bright future in the NBA and possibly still does, hopefully he comes back and is as good if not better than what he was when he left.
i heard that he is doin really well but if he comes back to the nba it might happen in a couple of months if not a year
Jay Williams #1 option is Chicago. I'm sure Pax will give him a workout. I'd waive Frank Williams and maybe even Pargo. (I love Pargo, but he isn't even playing. I hate to see him on the bench) Give him a workout, I'd LOVE to see him back
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Need4Sheed:</div><div class="quote_post">I think the Rockets should really take a good look at him when he is available.</div> Let's see how he does against lesser competition first. I wanna see him play in the NBDL when he's ready to get competitive. If he can do well their and tear it up like most players that make the NBA from there, then I think he can be effective in the NBA.
I think the Bulls should give him an public workout and let other gm's in and then maybe sign and trade for a frontcourt player. I feel that we are set at the guard positions with Hinrich, Gordon, and Deng.

It would be alot like Bobby Hurley after he had his car accident. He was completely healed but he was never really able to establish himself on the court ever again. Anyway, Jay Williams played in a Summer League on the Jersey Shore. I read it in one of the local papers over the summer. But the longer he stays out of the league, the less likely it is that he will ever comeback or be effective if he ever does decide to return.
I'd would love to see Jay Will come back i think the bulls will get rid of Frank Williams or Pargo he had left the organization on a good note saying when he returns the Bulls would be his first choice. I love to see him slap the floor just like at Duke with his former college teammate Chris Duhon.
Jay will get his chance to work out for NBA teams and those work outs will determine if he needs time in the NBDL or not. I miss him, hope comes back strong and the Bulls do give him a look. I would love to see him in Chicago again.
