Sup guys, im new to this forum and im just wondering who here likes Tmac, and if u think that the huston rockets did a bad thing to trade Steve Francis for Tmac.
Welcome LittleGod. Our Rockets forum is one of the most mature and intelligent one on JBB, hope you enjoy your stay. Regarding your question, I believe that the Rockets were wrong to trade for McGrady, not only because I'm a huge Steve Francis fan. The trade moved our core group of guys and valuable pieces who were key parts of our success last season. In losing Cato, our interior defense took a huge hit, as we no longer have anyone quick and athletic enough to block shots and defend guys like Duncan and Jermaine O'Neal. It has created a huge amount of stress on Yao, as evident in his play this season.
Welcome Ive always liked t-mac even before the trade and ive always been a huge rockets fan. So I was happy about this trade. Being a huge rockets fan francis is also one of my favorite players so i was sad to see him go. I think this trade was good for the long run. Rockets may stuggle now but in the next couple of years we will finally see why this trade was good. I also liked this trade because its going to make both teams better. Francis was a good player for houston but van gundys style just doesnt fit him. Hes now playing better in Orlando.

The trade, I'm pretty neutral on the trade, somethings I like, and some I don't. Obviously it was sad to see Steve Francis & Mobley leave but at least they're having a good season in Orlando. Oh btw I do like T-Mac lol
Welcome to the Houston Rockets forum. Obviously, the trade depleted almost all of our best players that were key to our success last year. However, I think the McGrady trade took a step for us in the right direction. Sure, Francis, Mobley, and Cato were getting us wins, but we weren't really getting anywhere towards a championship. I believe that by going through with the McGrady trade, it took a step back for us, but once all the pieces are in places, we'll have a better chance of getting farther into the playoffs.
