Skiles played for 10 seasons in the NBA with five different teams (Milwaukee, Indiana, Orlando, Washington and Philadelphia). He appeared in 600 games, including 371 starts, and averaged 11.1 ppg and 6.5 apg, while shooting .889 from the free throw line (4th best in NBA history). He still holds the NBA record for most assists in a game with 30, set on Dec. 30, 1990, as a member of the Orlando Magic. That same season, Skiles was named the NBAs Most Improved Player, when he averaged a career-best 17.2 ppg and 8.4 apg.

An All-American at Michigan State, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round (22nd overall) in the 1986 NBA Draft. As a senior in high school he scored 39 points in the state finals to lead Plymouth High School to the Indiana State Championship in 1982.

Skiles was born in LaPorte, Ind., on March 5, 1964, and is the fourth-youngest active coach in the NBA, behind Golden States Eric Musselman (11/19/64), Seattles Nate McMillan (08/03/64) and New Jerseys Lawrence Frank (08/23/70). He has two sons, Scott, Jr. (15) and Sean (11), and one daughter, Shelby (8).

Chris Duhon, has been doing what the Bulls are starting him to do lately.Lets face it none of us expect him to score ten to twelve points a game or even eight to ten as a matter a fact, but he is however leading all rookies in this years draft class in assists per game, and continued to prove himself with seven assists in the Chicago Bulls win against the Boston Celtics, the Bulls finished with a team total of thirty two assists. As well as only thriteen turnovers compared to the Celtics seventeen which means they had good ball movement and control.

Kirk Hinrich, has been handling his move to shooting guard this season well he has continued to score in bundles for the team and pass the ball very well he finished with 22 points and 14 dimes the Bulls last game against the Celtics. His great play shooting from the field, scoring, and passing as been a big reason for the Bulls being 13-9 this season in there last twenty two games after a 0-9 start to the year. He will need to continue to pass the ball well and score against the Warriors to pull out a win for our team.

Deng has been nothing short of impressive this year no one believed he would get off to as good a rookie season as he has done so far this year he ranks third in the rookie power rankings behind the number one and two draft picks Howard, and Okafor he leads all rookies in scoring. He is the Chicago Bulls blue colored player as well he does all the little things the team needs him to do to win. His stats although impressive so far do not even begin to explain his game.

Antonio Davis is the man that is probably the most under rated part of this team in a tie with Duhon he has done everything we need him to do and aquired him for. He has been a motivational leader, a locker room leader, a influence that has helped improve Chandlers rebounding, and Curry's post up game as well. He is a good player for this team, and it shows that he was really what we where looking for considering he is the only one we got in the deal that is still here. He did not play against the Celtics though due to a hip pointer injury obtained in the victory over the Jazz.

Eddy Curry is probably going through the best time of his life right now his team is winning, he is close to getting a contract extension and remaining a huge part of his home town team, and he is improving his offensive game with each passing contest. I hope he gets a extension and we keep this team for the most part together. If he would just improve his rebounding he would be probably top four or five centers in the eastern conference.

Ben Gordon has been proving everyone he deserved to be picked at the number three slot he ranks fourth in the rookie power rankings behind Okafor ( number two pick), Howard (number one pick), and fellow teammate Luol Deng (seventh pick). He is second among all rookies in points per game average, and he is also a top rookie of the year canidate. He did not have a good game last contest we had, but he will be looking to get past it against the struggling Warriors.

    * Can we get some more blocked shots on this team we have two guys who we say are "the future" of the franchise and they are a average height of seven feet tall yet the team only ha da total of four blocks last contest against the Celtics, and none of those came from Curry although two came from Chandler so our two guys who are seven feet tall average height combined for the same amount of blocks as our point guard and small forward. We need to be play tight defense against the Warriors and make sure to keep the defensive pressure up the whole game.

    * With Davis possibly out we will need to step up our rebounding game for this contest. I will update this thread if any new info comes up on the possibility of his return for this game, but as it stands he is listed as day to day and there is no information on weather he will play in the game against the Warriors. If he does not play and is replaced by Harrington we will be losing a net average of two rebounds a game. Subtract that from our rebounding average of 42.90 a game and we fall from ebing ranked 9th in the NBA in rebounding to 15th.

    * Hold on to the ball we are ranked first in the league in turnovers a game averaging over seventeen a game while the Warriors are ranked 22nd in the league averaging just a little over 14 a game. If we cut down our turnovers we will have a much higher chance of winning this game. We also have to keep up the defensive pressure against a team who does not turn the ball over a lot, and opponents average 16 turnovers a game.

Mike Montgomery was named head coach of the Golden State Warriors on May 21, 2004. Prior to joining the Warriors, Montgomery built one of the nations top collegiate basketball programs at Stanford, leading the Cardinal to 16 post-season tournament appearances during his 18-year tenure, including trips to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last 10 seasons.

Montgomery, 57, was honored as Pac-10 Coach of the Year on four occasions, including the 2003-04 season when he guided Stanford to an impressive 30-2 record, highlighted by a 26-game winning streak and the school's 10th consecutive 20-plus win season. This past season, he was also named Coach of the Year by Sports Illustrated and Basketball Times, as well as NABC District-14 Coach of the Year and the USBWA District-9 Coach of the Year.

Overall, the Cal State Long Beach alum posted a 393-167 (.702) ledger during his time at Stanford. Additionally, seven players who schooled under Montgomery on the Palo Alto, CA campus were first-round NBA draft picks.

The Warriors as a team are coming off a very ugle lose to the Raptors. It will be intresting to see how they respond I mean teams when they lose a close game our known to come back with fire, and a lot of emotion in hopes of winning, but after a blow out lose especially one with no time to recover they are usually down on themselves a lot, and can not regroup in time . One team that is or has been missing there leading scorer, do not have a good record, and are not on any sort of run will be even more down and lack emotion or drive for the next game they need to get over that if they are going to win.

Robinson scored eighteen points for the Warriors and lead them in scoring in there lose to the Raptors so there was one bright spot for the team during the lose however the Warriors did not perform well in the second half at all they let Toronto lead by as much as thirty in the alst thirty minutes of the game they basically gave up on themselves after the first half something you can not do if you have any hopes of pulling out a win.

All together this team is not looking good at all at this point and they need a win to get back on track there is not much of a break down you can give for there players, because not many of them have been performing well they have a couple of players that will dive for lose balls and do what it takes to win thought so you can not count them out of this game if you are the Bulls or they may surprise you.

    * For the Warriors to win they will need to stop ball movement the Bulls had 32 assists there last game, and the Warriors gave up 30 assists there last game to the Raptors. The Raptors a team with no identity after trading star Vince Carter, and not many ligit scoring sources either.

    * They need to have some cinfidence in there defense and actually try when you let a team score 67 points on you in the second half and you barly score half of that in the same half, and the team that did that to you had not broken out for that many points all season. It is clear something is wrong, and when a team leads by thirty points at one point for 30 minutes of the game you know something is wrong right there.

Projected stats: 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists

Lets look at this for second the Bulls are 7-3 there last ten games, the Warriors are 4-6. The Warriors might be missing there best player for this game and leading scorer, The Bulls are on a three game win streak, the Warriors are on a five game losing streak. I am not going to make a prediction because this seems a little to good to be true, but I think everyone knows who I believe will win this game.</font></div>

Good preview. I just got to say that if J-Rich does play, this is the Warriors game. They now have 11 fresh bodies and it has been the lesser players coming up big. Troy MUrphy should get some good points and will probably get a triple double against the aging Antonio Davis

Hard to believe that the Warriors can win this game. The Bulls are as hot as almost any team the Warriors are stinking it up.

I refuse to watch any of the games until Jason Richardson comes back. I know I get down on that guy, but he is the team's best player and the reason most people even bother watching the Warriors. Murphy is just struggling without him it seems. Also what happened to our team defense? Jeez, the Raptors slaughtered the Warriors looks like. Our opponent fg% must be above 50% each game. I may watch the bulls game though since I happen to like what I'm seeing from Kirk Hinrich. Also I think Ben Gordon could be a great Baron Davis/Gilbert Arenas type player.

What a let down, huh? The defense was looking pretty good for a few games there, but recently it seems like they've lost their motivation.

They are in a really tough spot, though. A hard loss at home vs Philly which led into a 6 day, 4 game east coast road trip. That sucks. I hope to see them put up a better fight against the Bulls so they can at least get some positive momentum. If they play back to form the next three games (Chicago, Miami, Seattle) and go 1-2, they should be ready to go to battle with the Lakers on the 15th.

    Man, I hate the Lakers.

You said it meng. I looked at the box score and the Bulls are still shooting 45% whereas the warriors are still in the 30's. Dunleavy is having a nice game scoring wise, but it looks like Claxton is making the most impact with his trips to the line and 3 steals. Derek Fisher is 3 for 11??? F that S! Cheaney 0 for 3. Good grief. He's pulling an Eddie Jones. What a huge dropoff from last year. Time to retire.

Yeah, Calbert certainly seems to have hit the wall. He's even missing wide open mid-range looks. I realize this completely invalidates my rant I wrote in his favor a while back, but in my opinion he has looked like a completely different player recently. [IMG] Pretty soon I might start calling him "The Towel" too. [IMG]

As far as Fisher goes, we better figure out how to use him, because it seems like he is going to be wearing a Warrior uniform for a very lonnng time. I don't trust him at the point, but I think he could be somewhat useful as a David Wesley-type 2 guard. His effectiveness would be limited when playing against oversized 2's, but I think I would trust him more if he touched the ball a lot less. [IMG]

Wesley sounds about right in a couple areas. Same size, same low shooting percentage. However, Wesley can penetrate and get to the hoop and other teams are more afraid of Wesley individually than they are about Fisher. Fisher struggles against guards his own size even. I think Wesley might adds more scoring punch too than Fish ever did. You know something? If we had Bobby Sura/Doug Christie I think Fisher would be okay along with Pietrus at small forward. But maybe I'm just kidding myself. Somebody has to drive to the hoop and keep the ball out of Dfish's hands so he wont shoot the minute he crosses the half court line. Maybe Dunleavy needs to handle the ball off the bench so that Fisher doesn't screw things up. Only problem is that Dunleavy does not handle the ball better than most point guards. He only handles it well for a big man 6'10.
