    Watching the Lakers V Wolves game and the commentator goes on about saying how John Thomas has signed a 10 day contract does anybody know what sort of money he would be on?
    and also why is it only a 10 day contract ?

    I'm guessing they would be making the minimum...they made 10 day contracts to help teams who have injury problems.

    Yes, 10-day contracts may be above the minimum, but rarely are. Ten day contracts help keep roster flexibility (each team has a limit to the amount of roster spots, so that no team is "hogging" players and so that players feel that they have a chance to play) and financial flexibility (the owners only pay for the ten days and not for an entire season's worth of pay, thus saving a lot of money).

    On a related note, since we are speaking of contracts, my friend asked me a couple of days ago;
    "How do and when do NBA players get paid?"

    .... and I also am not certain. Are they paid per game, or weekly or what exactly?
    Sorry if it seems stupid, I am really not 100% sure.

    ^^^That`s what I always wanted to know. For how they get paid, I`m guessing checks but when...I never found out.

    I think they are payed monthly but it might be player preference as to how and when they get paid.

    re

    A Player Signed To A 10 Day Contract Makes About 27,000 And I Believe That They Make Around 58,000 In Total If They Are Signed To Another 10 Day Contract.

    Nba Players Are Paid Every 2 Weeks By The Number Of Games They Played That Week. Some Weeks They Get Paid Less If There Team Doesn't Play As Many Games. If They Are Injuried They Still Get Played But If They Are On Suspension They Dont Get Paid.

    Hope That Helps
