From the Contra Costa Times: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Did Montgomery get a good look at his post of the future on Monday? One rumor had Curry coming to the Warriors for small forward Mike Dunleavy. Another had the Warriors getting Curry, Dunleavy going to the Los Angeles Clippers and the Bulls getting Clippers power forward Chris Wilcox. Curry, averaging 15.3 points and 6.4 rebounds a game, entered Monday seventh in the NBA in field goal percentage (51.3 percent) and is reportedly off the trading block now. But don't be surprised if trade talks rekindle as the Feb. 24 trade deadline nears. Curry will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season and the Bulls may decide he isn't worth the big contract he's seeking. Trading him would allow them to get something in return for Curry, the fourth overall pick in the 2001 draft. Curry could sign an offer sheet with another team in the offseason.</div> Full Article If we can't trade for him, should we pursue him in the offseason?

No wonder we always get good trades coming our way and then Mullin declines them when they include Dundun
Oh yeah. you might want to post that part of the article in quotes unless you want a mod to delete this. What you do, is press: [ write quote in capitals press] no spacing do that again at the end of the article except in the first quotes thing, you press / before writing quotes.
I'm a big fan of Jerry West as a GM, even though he hasn't done anything in years. When he wanted to pursue Eddy Curry, I'd think he knew what he was talking about. Plus as much as folks complain about Shane Battier being drafted that high, he is pretty decent alternative when you can't get Jrich, West's intended draft target. I would like to see Battier on our team because we need a real lockeroom leader, a 2nd guy who can handle pressure situations, and one that can average at least a steal and a block per game and score some. Only problem is nobody on the wings could handle the ball! I'm getting off topic, anyway, I probably would have taken a chance on Curry. the tremendous upside you can get with a player who can score anytime he wants to with a high fg% is hard to find.
Well, Wilcox is going to be out for some time now, so that trade avenue is unlikely. I'm still not a big fan of Eddy Curry. He's fine offensively, but he's weak rebounder for his size and his defense in general is sloppy. Even with experience, he hasn't put the mental part of it together to use his skills, and I don't think he will unless lightning strikes him and jars his brain right.

Most big men just can't get comfortable facing away from the basket and using footwork and their body to fake out the post defender. Cliff Robinsons is really the only one forced to do that for us whereas Monty would rather have Murphy work on that during the offseason since this season was to work on conditioning and his new improved 3 point shot.

Murph listens and he works hard to improve. Just look at how much his conditioning and shooting have improved this season . . . that 3point % is amazing. I'm feeling really good about his long term contract right now.

Why would they get rid of one of their big men thats starting to come through for a POS like Dunleavy..
^ He even declined a trade where we sent Damp for Korver, Damblebert and Glenn Robinson. That shows how bad a GM he is.
