Both have top notch handle that can shake any one in the league. I think it should be a dramatic confrontation between them. They always try and give each other their best games. Marbury should take advantage of Davis coming fresh from an injury. Davis really has not played much this season. Marbury needs to be a nuisance on both ends of the floor to fully exploit Davis? injury. Davis is shooting a low percentage already and hopefully Marbury can contribute to that. vs. SG: Allan Houston is coming from an excellent confidence building game against Portland on Sunday. Hopefully Allan Houston can continue his good play tonight against JR smith. What I think might happen is Houston might beome extremely vulnerable on defense. JR smith has some young legs and can easily give Allan Houston a hard time as he runs all over the court. Houston hopefully will be set up many times but, if he does not get set up Houston should take advantage of Smith being a rookie. vs. SF: Lee Nailon the former Knick, will be playing against Jerome Williams! Finally we have a SF and we are not playing 4 on 5! Lee Nailon is a great offensive player and Frazier used to call him instant offense. I am more than confidence that Jerome Williams will give Nailon many problems with his hustle and muscle. Putting a hand in Nailon?s face and putting defensive pressure and effort will result in to good things. I?m just glad that TT is out of the lineup and we are now more balanced. vs. PF: Kurt Thomas will be playing Rodney Rogers. Rodney Rogers was a great addition for the Nets and their two year run. Rodeney Rogers really is not too much of a threat for us. I think Kurt Thomas just has to be aware of Rogers? 3 point shooting ability other than that I don?t really see anything harmful. He is shooting a terrible percentage, and his a 6?7 undersized PF. Kurt Thomas should take advantage of the height differential and should stroke the mid range jumper pretty well tonight. vs. C: Nazr Mohammed against PJ Brown. Mohammed might have a bit of trouble against Brown but, I doubt it will be anything really serious. I hope he can continue putting up good numbers and make the all-star team. Either way he has improved, he is a great and surprising contribution for us, and I expect him to have at least a decent game nonetheless. Knicks Bench Summary The Knicks are down to 4 players on the bench including Sundov! I expect more minutes from our starters and also more for players such as Ariza and Moochie. Let?s see if Baker can get some decent minutes of action with this little bench. Luckily the Knicks are not playing an elite team. Their bench would have probably ended up hurting them down the stretch. Hornets Bench Summary: The Hornets bench gets some pretty decent minutes. Many of them are good role players for them. They can not contribute like Magloire, and Mashburn of course. The Hornets have the upper hand this department but, their bench is not the only factor to this game. Key Matchup: The Key Matchup is at the PG position again... Marbury" target="_blank">http://www.nba.com/media/knicks/marbury2_170_040106.jpg"> vs. Davis They are the reason why non NBA fans turn on the TV. Just to see the highlights. Both players put fans in their seats and can ooo and aww you on just about every possession. Marbury prefers the shake and the nice floater or the classic playground and 1 layups. Davis prefers the razzle-dazzle play or to go up and bang it on who?s ever below. Davis is trying to get New Orleans a much needed and precious W, while Marbury is trying to do the same thing and still prove that he is the best PG in the NBA. Should be a great matchup. I think without question the Key Matchup. My Prediction: I have said it before and I will say it again. The Knicks are too unpredictable and inconsistent to make a close to accurate assumption of them, however, I will say what I think should happen. I think we will win by 15. In a 105-95W. This should be a cake walk. We are at home and came back from a confidence builder Portland win at our home floor. Let?s see what happens. I hope we don?t have a 30 point lead and lose it and win in a close one. Once we get the lead, we should keep it by a comfortable margin for the whole game. Once the Knicks start wining the games that they should on a consistent basis, I think we can have much higher expectations of them.
Damn it's good to see JYD with a double double already, and we are only in the 3rd quarter. This guy has GOT to start in place of TT for the rest of the season. Him and Kurt Thomas look great in the forward positions.
This is more than tough. I for saw this happening. This team is not meant to be together. I hope you guys saw Can We Truly Move On?
Houston with season high 20 fg attempts but only got 17pts. I didn't catch the game but seems to me like Marbury and Houston missed too many shots, far more than normal. Just when I thought we would be back on track.
Houston really killed us. He was shooting pretty badly. I am getting worried about him. He's jumpers not on and when do we see Houston miss freethrows? Not today, but lately he has been missing them. I guess that knee is really getting to him. That will be really bad for us because not only will we be suck with his injuries but, we also have his contract to deal with. I really hope he recovers from this. He still is very valuable to us when healthy.
Man, what a disapointing loss for us. Starbury really has to make his damn free-throws and Houston killed us out there. Man, the Knicks have an easy schedule here with Portland, Chicago, and New Orleans, but they can't take advantage of that to pull away with the atlantic division.
Another loss at home, which really should have been a win. I can feel heat on the back of Lenny Wilkens neck. Poor loss. Losing to the worst team at home. What does that say about you ...........? Not good.
I'll always be a knicks fan (unless they move from NY, which won't happen). Will take a lot more than some sh!tty results to stop me supporting such a great team! We'll pick it up again, would be good to see JC back though for when Houston is misfiring. Also I reiterate we need some quality trades. Some of our players contracts are ridiculous cough TIM THOMAS cough
Damn Terrible game for the knicks. Nothing more to say that hasnt already been said 'cept why is Lenny still our coach?
Sorry I'm late but I was traumatized after that game. I'm serious. After the game I told myself I wasnt going to watch a Knicks game for two weeks or come on this forum or read about the Knicks in the paper. I couldnt do it obviously so here I am about to whine and moan and maybe even cry. Houston shot us into a hole as did Marbury. Both shot HORRIBLY! But there's noone else to pick up the slack so they have to keep shooting. On the bright side at least Houston has confidence in his jumper to keep on firing away like that(What can I say? I'm an optimist). We also gave up too many offensive rebounds but we dont have Sweetney. Injuries are catching up to us but we still should have won that game. Oh yeah and our defense just plain sucks. And maybe just maybe Lenny will be fired and we'll get a coach that can get this team to play defense. Isnt losing to the Hornets worth it?

Can I get an 'amen'?
