We'll have to wait after some road trips for that... We don't know if this Mo will be the same Mo on the road.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VinKanaddy:</div><div class="quote_post">We'll have to wait after some road trips for that... I was going to say the same thing, wait for the road, but he can be a candidate, I don't see him touching Bobby Simmons in it, but he cna be considered.
he's gonna need to increase his ppg avg if he wants to be considered for that. but the way he's been playing lately, i dont see why he cant do that. as long as he can continue this kind of play on the road how much do you guys wanna bet that he's sitting at home praying at night that he didnt end up in new orleans?
lol count me in for a bill. What's up with Jim Jackson though? The guy still hasn't reported to Hornets.
Hey, maybe if he had gone to New Orleans he would've given them good karma, and the injuries to Baron and Magloire wouldn't have happened.

I agree with Deception here. If MoPete continues this until the end of the season and Bobby Simmons regresses he has a legit shot at the most improved player. That is a lot of IFs but he does have a shot if he can be consistent. BTW what if Bosh continues his play? Wouldn't he be considered as well? Food for thought.
No Bosh wouldn't, normally people don't consider second year player as much because Wade and Lebron have improved much more than Bosh has this season statistically. I mean Wade went from what, 16-4-5 to 24-6-8.
MoPete avereged 14ppg during 2 seasons.. this year he average like 10-11ppg.. to be MIP he will have to put 18-21ppg
He hasn't improved nearly enough as others to be considered, but it's still pretty early in the season and things could change. If he were to get it, it'd be because of all the changes the Raps have made the past couple of months. With VC gone, he (along with everyone else) have had to step up and improve their play.

Getting 5 points one night, 14 the other night, 20 the night after, and then 8 points the next day doesn't really help any team.
I would think that either: Antonio Daniels - doing great off the bench Bobby Simmons - been shooting well, doubled his ppg. Drew Gooden - big improvement, surprized his name hasn't come up Mo Pete - depends on the rest of the season
