I've read on numerous sites that he is predicet to go at number 1 in this years draft. For those of you who don't know he's about 7'1 he's got a good shot % and he grabs killer rebounds apparently his d is a little flat footed. Anyway Where do you guys think he'll go any one seen him play? I'd like to find out a little more since im Aussie aswell. He has all the tools to be a 20/10 player in the NBA. He has already proved he can perform against mature age players (Athens Olympics), he has legitimate low post moves, nice hands, long arms, rebounds and blocks/alters shots well, and his FT shooting has already improved from 50% last season to 75% this season for Utah I believe. The potential is definately there, how far he goes is really up to how much he wants it, and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. The best prospect in college basketball this season IMO is Marvin Williams, but Bogut's combination of size and potential will definately draw plenty of interest.
I don't think he will go number 1 but he is definitely a good player, underrated as well. I'm pretty sure he leads the nation right now with double doubles so he is definitely a scorer and rebounder. I look for him to have a good career in the NBA.
Much like myself, Andrew Bogut is from Australia. I have been following him since he led Australia to Gold in the Junior World Championships. He averaged 26.3ppg and 17rpg over eight games in the Junior Worlds and scored 22 points and took 18 rebounds in a <font color="darkblue">106-85</font> win over the USA in the quarter-finals of the medal round. Bogut can be kind of like Divac in his prime,good shooting touch,good passer,but Bogut does work harder on rebounding. He lacks the leaping ability and quickness to be a big star,offense or defense but there really is no other true center who has quality stats in US college ball.

Andrew Bogut is both handsomer and older than j00. Seriously though, great to see the big man leading the Utes to a great year. For a long time now I've been wanting to see an Aussie in the league, if only to warm the bench. Great now that we're going to have a guy get some PT (fingers crossed).

Ben Pepper was also drafted, but he's still playing down here, so I don't know what's happened to him. I think it was Boston who drafted him a few years back. It will be great to see an Aussie in the NBA, though and hopefully he can do some great things while he's here. I'd say New Orleans will probably get him with pick one or two if they are unlucky
I think Andrew Bogut can be a 20pts | 10 rebs player. Maybe not right away obviously, but even so I think in his rookie year he can do some serious damage. He is such a great prospect, I just hope he doesn't end up in New Orleans.
^ Yeah, I think it will somewhat damage the development of Magloire. Also with PJ Brown deserving some solid minutes, I see a log jam in the making drafting Bogut. Many people forget that the Hornets problems are mainly due to injuries. Davis was out for sometime, Magloire is still out, and we all remember what happened to Mashburn. I think their main concern should be a scorer maybe a 2 or 3 that can compliment Davis.
Nobody has yet picked the lucky pingpong ball,and Bogut has not said he would declare,though with the money a #1guy gets,he could hire a private college proffesor. Guys who pull big rbds in college tend to do so as pros as desire and technique are key factors. Most non-playoff teams can use an upgrade at C and in this draft,only Bogut has real numbers against credible competition. Bogut has shooters touch,court awareness and insincts as well as good mobility and agility. He isn't a high flyer,but he's no stiff. He is sure to be a reasonably good starter,maybe a slightly bigger Brad Miller,with better rebounding.
Ive seen bogut a few times this year with utah. He can't guard 10 feet out of the basket. Too slow defensively. He has great recovery though, thanks in large part to his HUGE wing span. He barely jumps when he does infact shoot outside of 5 feet. Sorta like Divac. of course he'll get better, so the few negatives I see in him dont even touch the upside that he has. (the post moves , rebounding, and the blocking ability). Should be a good fit for any nba team. Much much better than a chris mihm, who was a first rounder too.
When I first heard of this guy, and that he might come out for the draft I was thinking Shawn Bradley. Being that they are both seven footers, coming out in their early college years and they both played in small conferences. But this kid after watching him isn't at all like Bradley, he still has to develop some to become an elite player in the NBA but he is going to be good. Number one pick I don't know yet, he is still very raw on the defensive end, but he very well can be going number one if a team like the Hawks get the pick who need a center. If the Hornets, already with Magloire land the number one pick I will have them taking Marvin Williams, Chris Paul, or they can try to move Maglorie during the draft and end up with Bogut.
If I was New Orleans I'd take Bogut and cash in Magliore. The only thing that impresses me a lot about Magliore is he's the best flopper/actor since Rodman,really suckers the refs. However,the refs don't like getting played like that and already some quit automatically giving him the break on those faked fouls. They can get some talent for Magliore,have a better overall C,younger,locked in for 4 yr
