In thirty years of watching the NBA I have never seen a worse player. He steps on the floor and the Nuggets go on a 10-0 run. It was like 4 on 5. He plays no defense, steps up from a wide open three and still bricks a 10 footer. On offense Kobe has to beg him for the ball and the other team doesn't even defend him. This guy is horrible, why is he on an NBA roster? Put the rookie out there, he cannot be any worse. I would rather see Walton running the point than this guy. [IMG]

I completely agree. The guy is absolutely terrible. He drives to the paint with his speed and then doesn't know where anyone is at, and he is too short to pass or shoot at that point. He can't set up plays, or run them correctly. When he brings the ball up the court I am always scared. I think oh no another turnover. Like you said his defense is even worse, he can't get around any screens at all and doesn't have the vision to even see a screen coming. He has to sit the pine and learn more. He is terrible. I think I have seen better point guards at the park.

    Arroyo to Lakers?

[quote name='Irishladdie']I completely agree. The guy is absolutely terrible. /QUOTE]

I hope what I have read about Arroyo being shopped to LA is correct, even with 1/3 less minutes than Atkins he has more assists and is ten times better than Brown and Bobbit put together. Since he is in the dog house in Utah, he should be available cheap.

^Carlos Arroyo?? yeah i agree. he is way more better than Bron. Brown is too aggressive that he turns the ball over numerous times. play Luke or Sasha!!

tiere brown can cope at the offensive end but he is truly not quick enough for a small player and he's definitely a defensive liability for the lakers. He has a nice little crossover dribble but his finishing isnt that good

Admittedly I don't get to see manyLaker games that aren't nationally televised, but at this point you can't afford to drop anybody.

I don't know a lot about Atkins medical history, but based on his age I could see him going down very easily. You need to keep all of you back-ups, until you can make some moves. Unless of course you want to start dishing out 10 day contracts.

Who are you to say he should be cut? Who are you? Are you in the NBA? I dont think so. T.Brown is going to be a good solid player. It could be he's in a slump or he is still trying to get use to of Rudy T offense or he is just having a off night. Everyone gets them.Kobe had a off nice a few weeks ago, you want to trade him? Jordan has a off night you want to trade him?. You guys just cant expect the lakers to get all these good player's and click. Its going to take time for them to become better as players and as a TEAM. So stop bagging on him or dissing him.

Plus, didn't they start playing the triangle a few games ago? He may still be trying to get used to the system. I think they won't play it anymore since Kobe is down, but just a thought.

Tierre Brown has been a terrible addition to the Lakers. However he is a Mitch Kupchak type player and I'm not surprised he's still on the roster. Mitch Kupchak continues to stock up on offensive minded players, who cannot defend in the NBA. He's drafted Kareem Rush, Luke Walton, Brian Cook, & Sasha Vujacic, all great offensive players, terrible defenders, Tierre Brown is just another player along this mold.

There are plenty of guards the Lakers could try out, without much risk. The Laker's success is not contingent on Tierre Brown and I'd like to see them offer a couple of 10 day contracts while Kobe is injured to explore their options and possibly improve the point guard depth.

As for the Arroyo rumors, I heard them mention it on Laker radio, but I don't have the confidence in Kupchak being able to make a deal for Arroyo, and I don't think the Jazz would make a trade to help the Lakers.
