The Toronto Raptors try to post a season high-tying third straight victory when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.

The Raptors have won four of their last five games, including a 104-93 triumph over Boston on Wednesday.

Morris Peterson scored a career-high 37 points for Toronto, which has not won three straight games since beginning the season 3-0.

Peterson nailed 7-of-14 from 3-point range for the Raptors, who went 14-of-29 from the arc.

The Sixers, meanwhile, have dropped three straight games and five of seven, including a 110-78 blowout loss at Chicago on Wednesday.

Allen Iverson contributed 21 points and eight assists for Philadelphia, which has not lost four consecutive contests since a season-high six-game skid from November 27-December 8.

The Raptors won the final three meetings between the teams last season after dropping four in a row in the series.

i think kenny thomas might put up big numbers on bosh, he's a undersized "power" forward, emphasis on power, who can match bosh's quickness and can easily manhandle him.

I'm still skeptical about the Raps on the road but I'm hoping they came out with something in their homestand.

    Raptors 90-86.

I think you better quote it next time if you are going to take it right from Raptor home page. I'd do it if I were you just to be on the safe side...Other than that good preview for your first one [IMG] Bosh can still beat KT off the first step and this is where height advantage comes in. If Bosh can't beat him off the bounce for some reason he can just shoot over him. If Bosh's jumpshot works tonight, KT will get closer trying to cover him better and that's when Bosh can take him to the basket with his quickness. Raptors by 10, 105 - 95.

    Keys To The Game:

    - Avoid Dribble Penetration: We have been abused by every quick point guard who is capable of penetrating and breaking down the defence, and Allen Iverson is the best at this aspect of the game. Back off of him a little bit and make sure he settles for jumpers for a big chunck of the game.

    - Inside Out Offence: Start out the game by giving the ball inside to Bosh. It proved that once Chris going, our offence runs smoothly and he keeps everybody involved. It ain't a coincedince that we are 8-0 when Chris Bosh scores 20+.

    - Rebounds: We must rebound against this team. Philly are not good at the glass. We have to rebound and start our fast break offence for easy buckets. Marc Jackson will be hard to keep off the glass so we got to rebound by commitee.

    - Free Throw Attempts & Effincey: On the road, we can't take the same jump shots we take at home. We have to attack the basket and go to the line, and more importantly, making them.

    ....

    Say What?! (Prediction)

Sixers are coming out of an embarressing preformance against Chicago Wednesday night. They'll be energized and motivated on their home court. We have to dictate the tempo, rebound, and get the ball inside to controll the game and take down their intensity. Rose and Marshell can't combine to score 6 points tonight like they did against GS. Hopefully, we could keep our momentum going and get an important victory against a division rival. Raps win, 95-88/.

I think the Raptors have some momentum off there home game wins, and Mo Pete should have some confidence. So as long as we stick to the routine of getting Bosh some nice early touches to get our offense going, I think we will win 109 - 103.

I'm worried about when Palacio comes onto the court and is guarded by Iverson... Iverson will probably get a couple steals.

Hey Purple Fever good preview, but I have to disagree with you on one thing. The Bulls are really stepping it up and just because the 76ers got beat by them doesn't mean that they can't beat the Raps. A.I. and Kenny will show everybody why they should be in the lead in the Atlantic. I predict a tight game, but it will come down to who can stop each others top guard.

Bosh has performed well against Garnet, Duncan, and Webber. I think that Bosh is quite versatile, because he has a consistent outside shot, and has some nice lost post moves.

Personally I think that Bosh will beat Kenny Thomas on low post jumpers. Kenny thomas is only 6-7, Bosh should be able to shoot over that.

I also disagree with that, the Bulls are currently the 8th seed in the East, they have a boatload of talent, and Ben Gordon, Duhon and Deng have really helped their team. I see the Bulls making the playoffs over all our Atlantic teams

Purple, you have Paul Pierce's picture in the preview [IMG]

Anyways I'm not sure about this one, not too sure about AI's health situation, but we're on the road and that scares me.

    I say Philly takes this 97 - 95

Yea the bulls have been losing for so long that, they just stocked up on young good picks. Its kind of sad that they had such a bad record with Hinrich, Curry, Chandler, Crawford...

I a ma bit anxious to see how the raptors perform on the road after building a ltitle bit of momentum at home. If mo pete can stay consistent and do what he does at home o n hte raod, that will be a great help.

I see the Raptors having a great "new" attitude on the road and winning a close, fun game by aabout 5 points. Jalen and Donyell's attitude about coming off the bench and PT concerns me though

Let's hope Peterson will be consistent as well on the road and burn the Sixers. Bosh should have a big game and if Araujo, Woods, Marshall and Bosh can outrebound the Sixer frontcourt, the Raptors should have no problem in this one. The Sixers have not been successful at home recently and the red-hot Raptors should win this.

Og, Sonics1, in no way am I underestimationg the run the Bulls are on, or the team overall, I was just saying that it was an embarressment for the Sixers losing by 32, and I would have said the same thing even if it were to the Suns, and the Bulls ain't no Suns.

As for the wrong picture, I copied the wrong player's URL again [IMG]

I agree that the Bulls are an underrated team so far this season, but getting blown out by them by 32 points is still embarrassing so I expect the Sixers to take out their aggression against the Raps tonight. Add the fact that we're playing on the road (where we're absolutely terrible) and we have one very difficult matchup.

The key to this game is to prevent dribble penetration from AI and force him to take jumpers. If we can do that then we'll have a pretty good chance of taking this one. However, I still think we'll lose in a close, hard fought game:

    Philly 103 Raps 100

AI had 19 first quarter points. Bosh only had 2 points.

What the hell is up with Raps and their road games? Did they just forget about Bosh? I mean how the hell does a guy that had 5 straight double doubles and 4 of them with 20+ points get only 3 touches in like 18 mins of playing time? I change my prediction and the Raps are going to get blown out by like 15 points if this continues. [IMG]

57-50 sixers at the half, we need to have better shot selections and give bosh more touches. Unfortunaely AI cooled down in the second, and we're only down by 7 thanks to marshall's 3 at the end of the second.
