<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Donyell Marshall, from the University of Connecticut via a high school career in Reading, is in his 11th season in the NBA. The question is, could a portion of this season be spent with the 76ers?

All we know for sure is, Sixers president/general manager Billy King has been trying to make it happen. Marshall, a 6-9 forward with three-point skills, had 20 points and 11 rebounds, knocking down five triples in the Raptors' 106-96 loss last night.

All King would say was, "I've been talking to Toronto and have an interest in several of their players." Asked whether those discussions were ongoing, he said, "Yes."</div>

I think this move would be what Philadelphia needs. Their guard play (mainly Allen Iverson) has not ever been the problem. But, they have not had a realiable big man in a long time, Marshall might be the guy.

I'm guessing that you didn't check that one on RealGM, because I highly doubt that those contracts match each other.

Oh yeah, and if Toronto ever agreed to that deal, they'd have to be checked for mental retardation, because their IQ would clearly be below 20.

EDIT: I checked and it does work, but check the change in statistics for the Raptors.

Samuel Dalembert would have to be included, Glenn's contract is also needed for the deal to work.

I have to admit, I like the sound of this. Also, for those who didn't bother clicking the link to the rest of the article, it also indicated that Rose would most likely be in the deal as well. It's like a two for one type of thing. If Marshall goes, so will Rose. So having both Rose and Marshall on Philadelphia would be even better. But what I'm worried about the most is whom the Raptors would get in return?

If I were Billy King these are the only players I would be willing to give up for Rose and Marshall.

    Aaron Mckie
    Kevin Ollie
    Kedrick Brown
    Brian Skinner
    Josh Davis
    John Salmons
    Glenn Robinson
    Sameul Dalembert

But looking at the players that I hope would be expandable for this trade isn't necessarily quality players for Rose/Marshall. However looking at the direction the Raptors are heading in I?m guessing that they would be able to find a way to work with those players listed above.

Think again. The Raptors are clearly rebuilding and just looking to get rid of those big contracts. I would not be surprised at all if the Raptors traded Rose and Marshall for low key players.

wow...you certainly do make a good case. i thought he was a big distraction...but after reading that well thought out and in depth analysis of the situation, im all turned around on the subject. i can see why you'd think that way, since you have so much substance to back up your opinion. thanks for that

anyways...on the subject of the deal...i totally agree that big dogg would have to go along in a deal for cap reasons if jalen is part of a deal. id love to see sammy come over to the raps...he could even resign since he's lived in canada before.
