<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Doug Christie, acquired by the Orlando Magic in a trade with the Sacramento Kings, showed up at The Palace of Auburn Hills about 2 1/2 hours before the game, coming directly from the airport with his ever-present wife, Jackie.

Christie took a physical and was available to play his first game. However, Coach Johnny Davis chose not to put him in the game.

"I got the jersey on, so I don't know. That's what I came here to do," said Christie, who was traded to Orlando for shooting guard Cuttino Mobley and forward/center Michael Bradley on Monday. "If they need me, whatever, I'll be ready."

Christie, 34, said the toughest thing about leaving Sacramento after five years was "we have to uproot our kids, and that's tough." The Christies have three children, ages 3, 11 and 14. "My youngest was fine when we told him we were going to see Mickey Mouse," he said.</div>

Apparently he's ready to play now since he cleared his physical - I wonder why Davis didn't throw him in with everyone else Friday night. Instead, he was waving to his wife all night. [IMG]

Hes there for morale, not to play [IMG] I dunno, might just be that they didnt feel that DC was quite ready with all the systems etc.. quite yet, just wanted 1 more game of him watching to see all the plays maybe.
    See if he plays tonight
