This kid Joey Graham is one of my friends from high school and he plays at Oklamhoma State. He is averaging 19 PPG and 7 RPG at the PF position. With these types of stats do you think he could be drafted in the first round?
neva herd of that kid... but if hes strong and can handle other pf's and centers he might but prolly early 2nd
Possibly late first round. I have seen this kid play live when I went to the Elite 8 game last year and he is very athledic, and can put the ball on the floor for his size. He is also having a tremendous senior season so far, which can't hurt for your draft stock, 19 points, and 7 boards per game, also shooting the three ball at nearly 52%. If he wants to become a PF in the NBA he will most likly have to put on some weight, he is currently just over 215 and some of the PF's in the NBA are a lot bigger. I would take a chance with him with a late first round pick if I were the GM of a team.
He is a great player, and very under rated. IMO he is a little small to be playing the PF position, and needs to start working on his ball handling considering if he wants to survive in the NBA he'll need to play the 3 spot. He needs to cut down on his 2.8 turnovers per game. He is a great player, and I think could go mid to late first round. He has a bright future.
He was a PF last year... but I heard he was taking 1000 shots a day, and is now playing the 3 spot in College to prepare for the Jump to the L.... he will be a late 1st to 2nd round pick probably... he's got a great game to him...
NBADraft.net At that site, he is expected to be taken at the 19th pick by the Memphis Grizzlies. Those are how the draft order would be now, so, it could change in the second half of the season. It also says that he will probably be placed at the Small Forward position for Grizzlies.
That's my boy! I made this thread a long time ago and Graham just kept getting better. Let's go Joey! BTW, I'm going to become a fan of whatever team drafts him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">He can bench press over 400lbs. That's impressive.</div> Yeah that's freaking crazy. I just hope he goes to a team that will give him some playing time and that will treat him well. I don't want him to end up sitting on the nech somewhere and turning into Darko Milicic.
^It does seem impressive until you think about the fact that earl boykins can bench well over 300lbs,no joke.
Graham is a sub 25 pick. If the Raps did take Felton rather than Granger with the first 7th pick and Granger wasnt around, i'd consider trading back a few spots to select Graham has a replacement. Hard workers are always wanted
Yeah, Graham is a monster at the 3 position. Graham is another one that has went under the radar, but whoever takes this kid is going to get a heck of a forward. He has the 4 years of college progression unlike some of the other draft prospects, so whoever drafts him is probably going to expect him to come right in and be an asset to the team since he's pretty much NBA ready.
