Yes they do need a point guard, but I have a better questino why did you make two post when it could just be one? They should be looking for a point or a bigman in my opinion.
We either need a point guard or a Big Guy. I think that Walker will be gone and we are going to be needed a big man to take his spot like a Hakim Warrick. I think that the Hawks arent all that talented big man wise and they need all the help they can get.

Warrick isnt going to slip to the second round and I dont think we have any players that another team with a high pick would want, be realistic we have a lottery pick most probably unless theres a gigantic turnaround, which doesnt have a great possibility to happen. We should draft Chris Paul with our first pick if he is available or take Gilchrist and with our second round pick we should take Erazem Lorbek, he's a big man and he's from europe so he's bound to be a good shooter if he follows the pattern of other european players in the league and theres always room for improvement, he is good from what I hear. Lorbek is only 20 and is a big body at 6'11 and 240lbs so there our need is filled for a big man but it will take time before he can start and Gilchrist or Paul will be great point gaurds if they can adjust to nba pace. Those are just the players I think we should draft but if we sign a free agent this offseason there's no need for another big man so we should take another pg like Nate Robinson in the second round.

I know they can get Paul, not so sure about Warrick.
they should get chris paul at pg and if they can get another high pick they should get warrick and they also have alot of cap space but nobody wants to come the hawks
I doubt that they can get both of them like Buckets said. WE have nobody that any other team wants except for Walker and the Celts want him. They dont have a bad enough record that they are going to get a good pick. WE will probably just get Paul.

I dont think so, I think he's going to be playing more SF for any team he's on. Dont forget we gotta second round pick as well and its a good one, so we could take two good players out of this draft to fill our needs at PG and C.
The Hawks have a lot of positions to fill, and since there isn't a LeBron James, Yao Ming, or Dwayne Wade type player in the draft, they should trade down or trade the pick outright for some players. They have a very young team, and adding another young player is not going to improve this team. The Hawks need to bring in role players to build around their young core. Josh Smith, Josh Childress, and Al Harrington. I think they can find a veteran point guard via free agency, instead of bringing in a rookie point guard to play with their other young players. A player like Antonio Daniels, Earl Watson, or Jeff McInnis would be the right direction to take. These guards are solid defensively and they know how to find the hot players in a game. Just take a look at what Brevin Knight is doing for the Bobcats young squad. He's the veteran floor leader and he's second in the league with assists. Maybe they can work out a trade with New Orleans and land Jamaal Magloire with their pick. PG - E. Watson SG - J. Childress SF - J. Smith PF - A. Harrington C - J. Magloire With their second round pick, they can add a solid big man like Lawrence Roberts.
Obviously their needs are a PG and a C. If they can get Paul with their pick, I would grab him, because he's more of a sure thing at the Point than any other Center. Paul is the best PG in the Nation, with Felton behind him. They might want to take a look at Fernandez, but I don't believe he's going to be as good as Paul or Felton. If they cannot get either, take a look at Taft, who is a projected, top 3 pick, top 5 for sure. He's undersized at the C, and is a PF, but if they get desperate, they might want to look at him. If they get really desperate, there's always John Petro
I'm really hoping we can land paul. He has tremendous upside, and with the way the center spot is evolving i wouldnt mind having a legit point.
