for all u conspiracy theorists, i got a good one. sam mitchell calls KG his "son" and KG reciprocates his love by telling anybody who well listen that sam mitchell is one of the closest people in life. both openly admit they speak daily, i don't even speak to my dad daily and we live in the same home.

the raps are experiencing a franchise upswing, mostly centered on the realistic hopes that chris bosh will become a legit superstar. they also got draft picks, have a little bit of salary cap flexibility and their nucleus is young. conversely, the wolves are in a salary cap conundrum, they have been stripped of all their first rounders for the next couple of years, have serious chemistry flaws and are old enough to enter the geriatric circuit.

your probably get the hint by now, KG will make a trade demand to be shipped to the raptors in the summer of 05. the raps can make an attractive offer, lets say chris bosh and jalen rose for KG. every coach wants to coach his son, few get this kind of opportunity. Kevin Garnett a Toronto Raptor, doesn't sound right but its going to happen.

LOL hopefully but only if we make a commitment to win now, becuase in a few years we will already have a Garnett (Bosh) and trading him would jeoperdize our future

Why trade for KG when we already have our own Garnett? [IMG]

I thought they got their first round picks back now?

I think a more realistic version would be the TWolves fire Flip Saunders, Sam Mitchell steps down as headcoach of the Raptors, and takes over as headcoach of the TWolves.

I don't know why, but I like Chris' character a lot more than KGs. I think I wouldn't trade Bosh and Jalen for KG.

If they were the same age at this point, I would probably take Garnet, but Bosh is younger I like the way his future is lookin.

kevin mccale firing his college buddy? i don't think so plus coach mitchell has derided a lot of american instituions like the justice system and george bush in the press. i think he likes it here in soviet canuckistan (canada).

i think chris lacks the nasty, killer streak in him that demarcates good players from great players. and OG i got to check up on that first round thing, i know they got ebi (whatever his name is) in a draft night trade.

Personally, I would do the trade because first, getting rid of jalen would be a load off our backs. Also, if KG wants to come to t.o. then by all means we should take him. Remember people, KG is the mvp of the league and arguably not only the best player in the NBA, but in the world. Another reason to do it is what if Bosh isn't planning to stick around with the franchise when his contract expires??? We basically get screwed over and he leaves, leaving is with nothing in our hands.

good point he's from texas and certainly there is a cultural polarization between george bush's texas and the liberal ontario. plus, as stupid as it might sound to us canadians, the weather plays a huge role in guys not wanting to play here. kg plays in minnestota, more north of here and a lot colder.

Yea, but what about KG's age? This guy will be turning 30 in May. Trade a 20 year old budding superstar for a 30 year old MVP? Doesn't make sense for me.

I was being sarcastic, I just don't see the conspiracy theory playing out. I wasn't aware of Mitchell's political statements, but if he's Anti-Bush, he gets a big thumbs up. [IMG]

Nope. Ebi was not traded for. He was the Timberwolves' pick, and I think last summer was the last where their pick was stripped. So the draft picks at least won't factor into the theory. Very interesting though, does have enough credibility for it to happen.

The age difference is 8 years, Bosh will be this year, before KG turns 29.

    ----

Ndudi Ebi was not from the Wolves pick. They got that pick in 2003 via trade. After the Joe Smith thing, the Wolves forfeited their next 5 draft picks:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">directed the forfeiture of Minnesota's own first-round draft picks in the 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 NBA Drafts; </div>

    ---

I love Bosh and all, and think he'll be a very good player in his own right, but I don't think he'll be the next KG. A more realistic view of it, is Chris Bosh being one of the premiere players in the league like Jermaine O'Neal is right now. Expecting him to be the next KG is unfair, because he's one of the, if not the best player in the league. Similar and skills and all, but I don't see Bosh turning into KG.

    ---

As far as him having a relationship with Mitchell like KG has, I can't see that. They already get along very well. I think they have a great future together as a Teacher (Coach) and Student(Player), but it won't be the same to Sams and KG's relationship. Sam played with KG, he played infront of him as well. He was his mentor. He helped KG become the player he is today, the fact that they played together for a couple seasons, definitly helped their relationship.

My bad, I read KG's birthyear wrong but still, that's 8 years after Bosh turns 21 and KG turns 29 this year. 8 years that Bosh can use to become one of the best players in his position in the league. With KG, we will get about 2~3 good seasons out of him and he will be considering retiring.

well forwards have a longer shelf life than guards, example: malone and kareem. anyways, what most people are omitting from the debate is that kg is arguably the best player in the game for the next 5 years, u don't pass up on greatness for potential greatness. my point being, if the raps made the trade tonight they would be contenders to win the east tomorrow.

More realisticly, Twolves trade Spree and Cassell for younger players... before trade deadline, and or if KG demands a trade, which is very very doubtful, he would probably not end up in Toronto unless you says he wants to be traded to Toronto, i'm sure Babcock would keep Bosh and have KG on his team as well... Jalen/other players and picks for KG?? meh only a Raptor fan's dream..

well he was espousing pro-kerry views in october prior to the elections and he's ex-military so he can empathize with the dudes in iraq.
