Whats with Sasha Vujacic getting the nod over Bonner?! True he's averaged fairly respectable numbers over the past 3 games starting for LA averaging 7.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 24.0 minutes over the last three games. But Bonner's averaging 7.5 points and 3.4 rebounds in 17.4 minutes for 39 games now.
To me Sasha's worse numbers over more minutes for a shorter period of time make him a BS pick over Bonner.
Also Bonner's numbers are much better than J.R. Smiths yet...no Bonner on the list.

    What gives?

I'm pretty sure the rookie rankings are 1/2 stats, 1/2 popularity contest.

1st off: Vujacic is on the NBA's drama team. So anything happening there in L.A. is recognized.
2ndly: To be recognized in a popularity contest, you have to do something to standout. Bonner has been consistent, which is great for us, but J.R. Smith has had a good impact as a starter.
3rd: They rather get some new players on the board. It generates interest if rookies come on and off the board, not just same ones every week.

Yes....but the question is: Will Bonner make the rookie vs. sophomore game?

i think bonner was tainted, black listed around nba circles for his newfound bad boy image. he tried to provoke a brawl with kg and spree, kg even called him a burgeoning "enforcer" after the game. rodman, rasheed wallace, ron artest and now u can add matt "dont take none" bonner to that list.

The rankings go by best performances in that week.

If Matt Bonner doesn't make the Rookie-Sophmore game, their should be an investigation.
