Interesting rumor, Silas is a big fan of Baron Davis, and I could see him pushing to land him on the Cavs. The rumor didn't mention what Cleveland would have to give up in the deal, I'm guessing picks and probably Jackson or Varejo. Both Z and McInnis are free agents after this year, so if they can bring in Davis and/or Magloire, they'll have less to worry about if they lose one of those players via free agency.

I also think the cavs want Magloire and would ship Davis somewhere else maybe in a three way deal.
Z would have to be in the deal, because Magloire is an allstar, i doubt theyll be able to get davis though, they dont have any players they can trade for him that are equal, they will also probably have to put some 1st rounders in the deal for magloire

I don't know how I'd feel about B.Diddy on the Cavs, just because he's a shoot-first point guard and has a significant contract. I'd like to trade him elsewhere for draft picks or youth or shooters or depth or anyone that'd be a better fit.
who are gunna trade the new orleans back for jamaal magloire and baron davis if they do make the trade ?
man, i dont really like that deal for cleveland...magloire is a great center, but davis is just nothing but injuries anymore these days. mcinnis fits in nicely there. i dont see why he wouldnt just resign
Davis and Magloire would be a nice addition to the team though I think thing are running smoothly at the moment. DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO THAT CROSSOVER BY LEBRON WHERE HE ACTUALLY LOOKED BACK AT THE PLAYER HE CROSSED OVER B4 HE SLAMED IT?
There is speculation that there is a 3rd party involved in the trade also. Milwaukee seems to also wants a piece of this deal. I have read from another Cavaliers board (Insiders) that The Cavaliers may push a 3 way deal with NO and Milwaukee which includes Michael Redd and KVH. NO recieves KVH/Zydrunas MIL recieves Baron Davis CLE recieves Mag/Redd Of course this may not be true, but from what I have read from the Insiders they have inside sources and have been known for finding out news well before others on the internet. On the other hand, if the Cavaliers want Baron Davis, they must include Jeff McInnis into the deal also. Mag/BDid Z/JMac The salaries combined do match, take a look at realgm or hoopshype if you'd wish.
Milwaukee gets the short end of the deal with this trade, I'm sure they'll end up with a pick or prospect along with Davis, otherwise I don't see them trading two starters for an injured B.Diddy. This trade looks great for the Cavs, but isn't Magloire out for the year? The Cavs are the second seed in the East right now, realistically they are the 4th best team in the league behind the Heat, Pistons, and Pacers (once they get their full roster back.) Even if they add Redd, I don't think the Cavs can win games without Big Z. He gives them the inside-outside balance a playoff team needs. The Cavs might be able to get away with 'small ball' in the regular season, but it's hard to replace a capable 7'3 center. The concerns with Big Z have been his salary demands and the new Cleveland owner isn't thrilled about using all of Cleveland's capspace on a center with a history of injuries. So should the Cavs bank on Big Z, trade him before the deadline, or let him walk and pursue other free agents? Tough decisions ahead for Cleveland management.
Man, i'd hate to see Redd leave. Although he's not playing as well as last year, he is the staple of the Bucks franchise. I'm not a fan of Baron either, too many injuries and he makes too many dumb mistakes. A change needs to take place in Milwaukee, but after the Ray Allen catastrophe, i'm not ready to see our star pack his bags. This will be interesting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Milwaukee gets the short end of the deal with this trade</div> They are getting rid of KVH's contract, which is what they want to do. And im sure with all the recent rumors afloating about Redd aiming towards the Cavaliers, they would want to get some talent for a replacement. If MIL isn't sure about Redd's where abouts, then a trading him would be the logic answer. To add to that, Baron Davis is well capable of putting up Michael Redd numbers. And they also still have their rising star in Desmond Mason to build around. To keep Z this off season, we would definatly have to overpay. Im sure there is teams out there that would be willing to toss some mucho dinaro' at the big man. And with the Cavaliers so anxious to use their cap space on a new helper, a probable huge offer could ruin all the Cavaliers plans.
Once again Baron Davis will not be a cav, if he's in the deal it's a three way deal. The cavs don't want a chucker like Davis.
