<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sacramento Kings guard Cuttino Mobley is wearing No. 3, in part, to honor Magic guard Steve Francis, his best friend, and because Mobley's No. 5 was taken. Kings rookie Maurice Evans claimed No. 5 when the season began. Francis joked that when he arrived in a trade to Orlando, "Keith Bogans had my number [3]. I just took it." Francis says he talked to Mobley after Mobley helped the Kings beat the L.A. Clippers on Monday night. Mobley has scored 13 and 19 points in the two games he has played for Sacramento since being dealt by the Magic last Monday, a trade that rankled Francis. "He feels good," Francis said. "He feels good about the opportunity to play where somebody wants him."</div> Full Story: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-...ports-headlines How touching.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"He feels good," Francis said. "He feels good about the opportunity to play where somebody wants him."</div>Haha, nice shot at the Magic organization there.
I feel for Francis. Mobley was his best friend. Have you noticed that Orlando keeps on trading best friends. First McGrady and Miller, now Francis and Mobley lol. The only thing is Francis didn't drop 52 in 3 quarters after Mobley got traded. It is really good that they're still keeping in touch. Mobley and Francis were such a good combo. When Francis penetrated he drew attention. No one didn't want to get dunked on, so they forgot all about Cuttino Mobley who made them pay from behind the arc. Many times Francis decided to dunk anyways though . Touching story though.
End of the day its unfortunate. The game doesnt work around relationships, it works on what works for the team. So far it has to be said that the DC trade is looking good, but time will tell. In a ideal world we would still have cat but also DC Actually in a ideal world we would prob have a lineup like Oneal Webber hill mcgrady and francis, but there we go
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trip:</div><div class="quote_post">Haha, nice shot at the Magic organization there.</div> I don't really think it's a shot at the organization, he's just stating the truth. Orlando was shopping him since the very second he was traded. BTW, What number did Bogans where after Francis took #3. I see him wearing number 10 in Charlotte right now, but I don't remember him earlier this season wearing that with the Magic.

And I actually felt that the comment was a stab at the Magic organization because they basically didn't want Mobley anymore; which Francis was accusing them of doing.
These two are like peanut butter and jelly. Heck I would be surprised if one of them attempted to cost their respect team a game if they met in the NBA Finals. But of course I'm joking, they may be the best of friends, but they are competitive as anyone else in the league. Actually I believe they would be even more competitive if they went head-to-head. Again, these two are very tight with one another. That said I wonder what would happen if they won the NBA Title together?but then again I wouldn't want to think about what would happen. Well anyways, it's going to be interesting to see when these two play each other. I'm expecting an Isiah Thomas/Magic Johnson type greeting.
Honestly, this is getting old. If they love each other so much, they should just get married. I realize that they're good friends, but business is business. While I agree that the trade wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do, what happened happened and no amount of sappy gestures of honoring each other is going to nullify the trade. Get over it Franchise.
this is a very touching story. heopefully steve will get over this in due time, it seems as if the opportunity to play on the kings has helped mobley get over this trade quicker than Francis. But D.C. played huge against the pistons and if he can keep it up, i bet francis will feel better about the trade after everything pans out.
