I'm not sure if Smush Parker and Cook are the answer, I think the Suns should see what the Jazz want for Arroyo.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this but then I thought the Suns would like someone more experienced to run the point in the short term with a young team. I agree with Shapecity that I think the Suns should try to go after Arroyo, see what they want for him and if the price isn't too high I think they should pull the trigger.

I was thinking the same thing Shape...Don't think the Suns have what it takes to get him though. Even if they did, it wouldn't benefit them long term.

    A 10 Day for Cook and/or Smush wouldn't hurt.

Haha Joe Johnson is starting at PG, ouch.

Shows how important a PG can be to a team, kinda reminds me of Cleveland last year, think of their record with and without Jeff McInnis.

Maybe they should have kept Yuta Tabuse or something like somebody mentioned.

I guess Steve Nash is really the MVP of the team. I remembering voting for Nash in one of those polls on this forum to see who thought was the best player on the team (Amare or Nash). Some thought it was Amare, but he's been struggling to find his offense without Nash. Nash is really one of those true point guards with the complete package that makes everyone around him better. When he comes back he could start where he left off and finish being a candidate for MVP. Hopefully they get passed the first round of playoffs. It will be challenging for the suns, but I'm rooting for the unconventional. Go Suns! [IMG]

Maybe the Suns can put some deal in for Brevin Knight if it involves a good package of talent or draft picks.

Good call on Brevin Knight, I think the Suns can put a package together to land him. The Bobcats are getting some great games from Knight, but they also have a younger Jason Hart who's capable of being their starting PG. Giving up their first round pick might be enough to land Knight.

EDIT: Suns just signed Smush Parker to a 10 day. Source

Well I don't expect Amare to struggle too much, he had tough matchups, and considering he averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds last season after Marbury left, I think he can get it back together.

You know what has been overlooked in the Suns bad play lately, Quentin Richardson. Yes everyone will think, how can you blame the guy who's like the 4th option on the team, but Q-Rich has averaged shooting about 7-19 their past few games, and 5-17 in their 5 game losing streak. He should never take more than 12 shots really.

His rebounding hasn't even been the same with him getting 3 vs the Pistons, and 0 vs Indiana, and he's been averaging like 2.2 assists a game in the stretch, and had 1 vs Jazz, and 0 vs Grizzlies.

He's been reminding me of the Richardson I hated on the Clippers because he takes idiotic shots and is a chucker/ball stopper. When Nash was there, his offensive efficiency and contagious ability to get them moving the ball allowed them to survive through nights of Q-Rich taking 17 three's and making only 4, or his shooting 5-20 from the field.

I am one of biggest Q fans on this board and I have to say that I agree with every word you said there except for the rebounding part. He had 13 boards against the Griz, 8 against the Wizards, but then again he had 0 against the Pistons, inconsistant is something that he has been throughout his career.

Q was mainly brought here to add another outside threat to this lineup and I think he took this too far by taking away that nice post play from a guard that he had as a Clipper and just jacking up threes all day. I don't care how good you are I don't think anybody in the league should be taking 17 three pointers in a game. 60% of Q's total shots were from behind that three point line, he is 2 threes away from taking more threes this year then last year and we have only played 40 games! I agree with you again that this is reminding me of the Q that I was seeing in LA, only this Q has better defence for he is #14 in the league in steals.

Bottom line is that Q should be taking it inside more, I know he has a nice jumper but I also know that Q-Rich is one of the best guards in the league when it comes to posting up a player. Take it inside more Q, thats all. Even though he has been one of our top guys in this losing streak but thats the key word, losing streak.

This may be a little off topic but I think it's not all the point guard play that has us on a 5 game losing streak but the play of the other players are poor also.

it would have been nice to see Knight with the Suns. I saw him play with milwaukee last year and he was pretty impressive. Bucks always pick up decent PGs from outta nowhere - Damon jones, Knight, M Williams is playing decent ball this year...

Didn't Brevin Knight play like 3 games on the Suns last year? I wanted the Raptors to get him actually, because he's always been a good PG, just had injury problems, he really went under the radar though, that's why I wish I was a GM.

Smush with 6 TO's...Quite a transistion from playing Pistons style of ball to the Suns style.

I dont know if the suns should go get a point guard other than nash. I think they should just ask one of the back ups to step up

lol they don't have any backups, their one backup in Barbosa got injured when him and Nash collided, they injured each other.
