Looks like the whole eagles team is falling apart. Every year they have more and more malcontents on team. This year is going to be the one to do them in. 1st the TO situation where he is sitting out Mini-camp over his contract. He was the only consistant weapon on ofense other than Westbrook, who is also skipping mini-camp over his contract. Simon is skipping mini-camp over his contract, and they have been unable to trade any of them. So they can let them all walk destroying the team, or pay them all, destroying the cap and the team. The eagles run is coming to an end.

    Let me see.

2003, Duce Staley stays out of the miny camp, so did Bobby Taylor. BF1 probably wrote the same type of a comment. Eagles recievers suck. Eagles go on to the NFC championship game.

To me, as long as McNabb is the QB of this team, and out defense is playing well, we will be one of the top 5 teams in the league. Eagles will let these players bitch and moan, but in the end they will all come to play (like Duce, Bobby Taylor, Troy Vincent all did with their contract situations).

Eagles are one of the most talented, if not the most talented teams in the NFL. And no controversy can change that. If TO sits out, I am sure they will find someone to replace him, they always do.

No way, this is what someone says every year. I'm willing to bet my avatar and my signature that the Eagles will still not only win their division, but finish 1-3 in the NFC. The defense is too good this year, even without Simon. Plus I'm expecting a breakout year for either Greg Lewis or McMullen. The main thing I'm concerned with is Tra Thomas and his blood clot. If he can't come back, it'll be a big dent in the O-line, and that would definetly shake things up. Other than that, I'm not too concerned with the contract disputes.

Recent update with Westbrook. His agent just said on Comcast Sportsnet that they are trying to work out a long-term agreement, but if nothing can be worked out they will sign the one-year tender before the deadline. We know we have Westbrook for another year

BF1 had 2 very good facts. 1) there are more & more malcontents on the Eagles roster and 2) the Eagles run (more like a jog actually) is coming to an end.

I believe both BF1 & I said that signing TO was the beginning of the end. It was only a matter of time before his own personal issues caused the team to self-destruct. Frankly, I am surprised it took this long.

Westbrook or Simon sitting out are just the nature of the beast and will be resolved w/o much drama

Minnesota will have a really good season this year now that Moss is gone. So, no one player is bigger than the team. Botton line, Even TO is expendable. How ironic is it that TO helped the Eagles reach the promised land but will probably be the reason they implode.

I am discounting whatever McNabb says as he has shown how 2 faced he can be regarding TO. Until Andy Reid comes out (publicly) & says enough and then does something decisive this soap opera will go on.

BTW, the noise you hear is Jeff Garcia in Detroit laughing his a$$ off.

No way. Our defense will be as good as it ever was this year, if not much better. Shepard and Sheldon Brown are two young CB's that did great last year. Brian Dawkins is returning, and Michael Lewis is getting better every year. Dhani Jones is a very decent outside linebacker, and Simonotackle is much better as an OLB than his former role. Keith Adams played well in the playoffs, and if he continues it then he'll probably be the starter. Trotter will dominate this year behind the d-line. Corey Simon will most likely be on the team, and Darwin Walker will play good if the line stays healthy. N.D. Kalu is returning this year, with Kearse on the other side being backed up by Hugh (old, but decent), and McDougle might have his long-awaited breakout year.

On offense, we will have Westbrook and McNabb, two very potent weapons on offense with a great offensive line. Without TO on the field, the Eagles has a decent offense at the least. If Buckhalter stays healthy, then maybe we will have a better rushing game. L.J. Smith is a good recieving TE to watch for next year as well.

Barring an injury-plagued season, the Eagles are far from being on the decline. They will have another great year next year, and the young players are getting better and better.

I love it. However, maybe like during the pittsburgh game last year, TO is trying to calm Mcnabb down by pumping him up, and Mcnabb is doing the same for TO. [IMG]

I personally like the part in the article that says TO has to give the Eagles money back from his bonus

    Hey DaPackersGB,

Interesting how you feel this is a "bbaddd" offseason for Philly. How did Javon Walker look in camp? Can Ahman Green stop beating women for at least one relationship? How's that outcast from Philly -Al Harris doing at the strip joints? Lovely retort by him saying that he's had so many paternity tests that he knows what to expect. Hows that brilliant draft your new GM just had?.....and you thought Philly was falling apart.

Good call my man, direct attention to one of the 3 or 4 teams who are actually falling faster than the eagles

The Pack is having a Bad offseason aswell, The Eagles and The Packers are both up there in terms of Bad Offseasons, I think that B#@&!*$ Drew Roesnahus Should be banned from Football! He gets all of these guys to rebell for more money, stuff like that is going to turn the NFL into something like the....gulp...MLB!

He caused Mike Mckenzie to Hold out last year (it was Mikes decision in all but I know Drew played some part in it) He is stirring up trouble in Arizona by having Bolden Hold out, He's causing Havoc in Greenbay and Philly by having T.O and Walker Hold out, These guys all have had exactly ONE good year with their respective teams and Rosenhaus fills their heads with YOUR WORTH MORE THAN THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH, My opinion on it is You show your Worth It by Honoring your dang contract and/or Prove your Worth a Fricken extension or Raise, and Showing up to your practices not showing that you think you are more important than the team itself by holding out.

It is really getting pathetic now that so many athletes hold themselves in a higher aspect than they do the the actual game.

sorry got a little off topic!

Well, he is getting results which is why people are going to him. He actually has more players in NFL than anyone else, including any agency.

Well he now represents the only player in the NFL that I know personally, Dan Morgan. For everyone that doesn't know, he's Carolina's MLB and now he's holding out. Never thought I'd see the day Danny would hold out, but hopefully it's resolved soon.

I hate to say it, but you guys are due for 'an injury plagued season'. Youth may be on your side, but three guys down at the same time and a malcontent or two would put a real hurt on your chances. However, at this point I wish you all the best. [IMG]

There is no way that these eagles fans would admit there team is in danger of a bad season. Cicero was more aware while rome was burning around him
