They could do nothing, absolutely nothing to San Antonio. Arenas scored 3 points. Jamison scored 6...</div> Yes, but then that's San Antonio playing in their home court. We're playing at MCI Center so I don't think Arenas will score 3 points and Jamison will score 6

Purple Fever, Etan Thomas isn't 100% yet, so let's hope that plays into our favour in this game. I'm not sure what percentage he is, but he doesn't have his legs yet, and is still getting into game conditioning.

They were practically up 20 after the first quarter. They got soo many offensive rebounds and points in the paint, we couldn't handle their big men at all.
How pathetic... Another night of jacking up contested shots and the usual result: a 9 point loss. I'm too disgusted to say anything else.
I think some form of defense would've helped, Rafer went back to old Rafer today which is not a good thing. Jalen scored 32 points, and Juan Dixon's domination off the bench seems to not have been specific to other teams. I didn't watch the whole game since I went out, I watched the beginning and the end, missed the being down massive and bringing it down to 11, but I'll have to watch it all later.
eddy jordan is a great coach and i realized tonight that the wiz have the best guard depth in the nba. the raps need another mo. pete like guard in their bench, if not, perimeter orientated clubs like the wiz will continue to exploit them off the dribble. another observation, if we had kurt thomas instead of donyell marshall i think we would have been far more competitive.
I don't know what to say after this game.... Mitchell should be furious with his club. They are honestly not a very disciplined team. It seems like just because rafer is making bad decisions, it means everyone should follow his lead. Another thing is that palacio is absolutely terrible...he dribbles the ball for so long and doesn't get ANY dribble drive penetration and in the end, we get a horrible contested shot. Also, most of the time, people were just standing around looking at the ball....no movement AT ALL. We could've possibly beat wiz (or at least put up a good fight) if we came out with more energy and better teamwork.
The success in Minnesota seems to have vanished into thin mist somehow, and you're right og15 Rafer was back to his old self trying to go one-on-one with Juan Dixon. The body language of players on and off the court showed just how much a sack of sore losers this team can be at times. Man.. Just as we thought maybe they were turning a corner they show up with this kind of effort.. Keep up the good work morons.
This game wasn't as bad as it seemed imo. We just came into the game pretty flat and lacking in intensity, but we still played a pretty good second half. It's our first half that really killed us. Notes from the game: - Arenas killed us. He didn't shoot well from the floor, but he got the line 20 (that's right, 20!!) times. - Juan Dixon and Jamison also had a stellar game.... and we had no one who could stop them really. - Donyell is relying WAY too much on three pointers. - Murray takes WAY too many shots for the amount of touches he gets. It seems like he looks to shoot everytime he touches the ball. - Alston needs to stop getting into his one-on-one matchups and reverting back to his "and1" days.
The Raptors are a shooting team. When we can't hit our shots we lose. We live and die by the shot. We need to trade for post players that can score inside. Rose is doing great but i think we need to trade him for some inside help. Trade Lammond too, everytime he gets the ball he just shoots right away.
By the looks of stats, it seems they didn't go inside that much, and Bosh did not get enough touches as he should be getting... He should be getting around 20 shots per game, instead you have players who take it away from him...
I think our major problem was rebounding!!! We may have struggled on offense, but man they like outrebounded us by 17! in the half. Some ridiculous number. We did not box out their big men at all, we would switch for help and their big man was wide open for the dunk. How many strong big men(bangers) do they have compared to us? C - Etan Thomas, Bredan Haywood PF - Ruffin, Jamison C - Arujo, however he is a rookie PF - A. Williams? I can't classify Bosh as a banger We just had nothing to compare to their big men. I think we just kind of gave up after the first 3 min. And we didn't even bring any energy to the game.
