''Everybody knows the situation at the beginning of the year,'' said Marshall. ''It was difficult. As much as we loved Vince and liked him as a teammate, he wanted to be out. ''It was probably difficult on us on the court, whereas now you have a bunch of guys who are willing to play and just go out there and stick it out.'' ''We're doing the things we have to do to help this team win, doing the small things like diving on the floor and helping each other on defence, blocking shots, talking,'' said Marshall. ''He probably took the biggest hit coming over from New Jersey. . .,'' said Marshall. ''But he's helped us on defence so much, it's just helped us all around, the way he talks, it's (affected) everybody else, everybody is talking more on defence, coming over and blocking shots.'' --on E.Dubb</div> Link ----------------- Marshall is right, i think our team has more chemistry now, because everyones trying to help, instead of just letting Vince do everything
The way they play right now is the way they should've played with Vince. Vince didn't want to do everything. But it doesn't matter, he's a Net and they're going nowhere without a big man and RJ.
The thing is that Vince didn't want to do everything, but when he got the ball we still played that way in that everyone would just kind of move out of the way and hope he scores or get's them a pass. Who cares though, we should've used Vince in post up situations more too, when you post him up he makes much smarter decisions, maybe then we would've have a pretty good record before the trade and be #1 in the Atlantic right now. Our road games do also have a part to play in this since we were good at home in the beginning of the season too, but still...
We play so much better now w/o Vince. Unfortunately, i think that ticket sales have been down since Vince's departure (due to Vince obsessed fans) but i think they'll rise soon enough.
