If that's true, and he's refusing to play, I'm perfectly fine with it. The only problem is, if he keeps it up, I have no clue how we're going to get rid of him. His contract is for like 3 years or something and is taking up a lot of our cap space. Like Trip said earlier, his trade value is going to take a serious fall if this is really what's going on. Padgett on the other hand is doing a great job taking his place and it obviously showed from his performance in this game. He hustles, rebounds, takes smart shots, and passes more- everything Taylor doesn't do effectively.
At the beginning of the season, I had already proposed the idea of starting Padgett. He hustles on defense and has the range to give Yao more space down low to work with. As we have all seen, Padgett is doing a great job, but now I feel that he would do better with 15-20 minutes off the bench backing up Howard every game. Taylor though is a headache. He has the offensive game, but cannot play defense. We should get rid of him fast; anything is welcome, even a second-round pick.

Regarding Taylor, if it wasn't for his massive contract I think alot of teams could of used him, teams that already have good defence and need a good offensive player, it's too bad about his contract though, maybe we'll be lucky if another team gets desperate for him haha!

If only someone like Chris Bosh or Drew Gooden gets injured for the rest of the season lol. Their teams would get desperate for a starting power forward. If only that would happen...
I'll have my fingers crossed on that lol. Not that I'm wishing them injuries, it's just that somewhere along the season before the deadline, some team would be desperate enough to take Mo out of our hands. That will clear off some play time for Padgett because so far, he's impressed me more than Mo this season.
Experimenting with Padgett at the 3 should be an option for JVG. Houston really needs the rebounding boost.
