This is really my first day back from the Orlando game I went to see, with the Sixers in town. One thing I can say is I like Dalembert even more by watching him in person. It'/s true that he hasn't gotten off to the start most projected for him, but Sam is still a young player and he is showing signs of getting there/ If your not informed about the Orlando game, Dalembert dropped 24 and him and Allen looked really playing together. When I look at JJ I see a player that has potential, but if it came down to it I would rather keep what we have, and sort of invest in Sammy. Remember Dalembert doesn't have much NBA experience; yeah he was drafted 3 seasons back, but so far has only played one full season healthy. SD is just the type of player that takes a while to learn a new system since he is so young and in-experienced, right now he has showed spurts of learning and getting better and that?s really all we can ask for at this point. With his situation I say we keep him here in Philly Dalembert has a rare combination of size and speed and if we just give him time to develop I think he could be a reliable center for us in the future. Not to mention right now we can't afford to lose size, we only have a little depth at the center position so swapping a center for a guard would defiantly not be a smart move for us right now. Also I am confident about Sam?s contract situation this summer, he is a restricted free agent this summer if I'm not mistaken, witch means the only way he'll leave Philly, is if we let him go. So in shorter terms BK, do not make this trade!
I don't know if you guys heard but according to ESPN Insider Chad Ford the Suns have no interest in trading JJ, which is weird because I feel this deal would benefit them greatly. Here is a quote from Insider, about JJ's trade status: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jan. 24 - The Suns recently landed Jim Jackson from the Hornets for Casey Jacobsen, Maciej Lampe and Jackson Vroman, however that is not setting up another deal involving Joe Johnson, sources told Insider's Chad Ford this weekend. Talk of a swap with the Clippers for Chris Wilcox or with the Sixers for Samuel Dalembert is bogus. We've been writing for more than a month that the Suns have interest in Dalembert, and they still do. But they've been given zero indications that the Sixers would be willing to swap him for Johnson and/or the pick they own from the Bulls. Johnson is averaging 15.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in starting all 42 games this season.</div> This is good, I am looking forward to seeing Dalembert tonight when he has a real test at center in one of the best in the business. Thanks god Billy King doesn't screw up again!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">I have heard many rumors this week about us doing a trade with the Phoenix Suns, Joe Johnson for Sammy Dalembert. What do you guys think about this? Personally I like this idea alot. Sam Dalembert does not perform well at all in Jim O Briens system. Sammy Dalembert is a shot blocker. The Way Jim O Brien sets up his defense he is not using Sammy Dalemberts strenghs to their greatest use. Sammy fit in last year in Chris Fords system but this system does not work. Sammy is always guarding the perimeter instead of the paint and that is not taking advantage of his abilities. Joe Johnson on the other hand gives us what we need. A guy who can score with Iverson. Like in that Batman and Robin Thread. AI will be the batman and Joe Johnson will be the Robin. Joe Johnson could probably score 20 pointss a night possibly because our team really doesn't have much consistent scorers. Theres AI and JAckson and really no one else. Joe Johnson could be the guy we need. All in all Sam Dalembert for Joe Johnson sonds good to me. What do you guys think about this?</div> It sounds good to me iverson johnson an iggy but our front court will be really soft where do we build that from draft free agents ?
