<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe Bryant was able to slip a sneaker on his right foot Friday for the first time since suffering a severe ankle sprain last week, and that was enough to lure him back out on the Staples Center floor. Two hours before Friday's game against Golden State, Bryant entertained a small crowd, firing shots from midcourt in a friendly competition with comedian Chris Spencer, who was there to film a scene for the HBO series "Entourage." Still unable to push off on his right foot, Bryant took left-handed shots and led with his left foot, a combination he had never tried. He still hit consecutive 47-footers at one point. "It feels comfortable to wear regular shoes," said Bryant, who did not use crutches Friday for the first time since the injury. </div> Source
He is off crutches, that is good. But does anyone else get the feeling that he is trying to come back too fast?

I'm sure it's eating him up inside watching his team win these exciting games without him. The tough thing about ankle injuries, is the fact it takes awhile for it to heal and even when it does, it's never the same. I want Kobe to take as much time off as he needs to get his ankle at full strength. He's still young and has a great future ahead of him, I don't want him to turnout to be another Grant Hill.
That is a good point. Once you injure your ankle, it is easy to do it again. If the Lakers continue winning at this pace, he should take off all the time he needs/wants. There is no hurry for him to come back...we have played excellent ball without him, if I could have it my way, I would love to have him sit out for 2 months atleast if we can continue to win, have him back fresh for the playoff run.
