Brown/Hughes Coping
No kidding, I thought Kwame Brown was in a prime situation to have a breakout year. Instead, he gets another injury and sets back his development even more. The Wizards are also winning a lot without him, I don't see a reason why they would want to bring him back. I expect a sign and trade in the off-season.
I also believe he will be with a new team next year, which sucks. I wanted him to break out with the Wizards, but I believe he will break out with a new team. Seattle was interested in him last year, maybe to Seattle? L.A.? New Orleans?
I want Kwame back as well, but I want Hughes more, and if that means getting rid of Kwame, then so be it. All I can say is that there better be a sign and trade, because we need to get something for this soon to be heck of a player.
I have been playing around with trades all day..and I think sending Kwame to NO would be awesome for both teams. We could probably pry away PJ Brown who would give us vet leadership in the frontcourt. NO would get Kwame, what is better for a young team than a big man who can be a dominant player. JR Smith and Kwame Brown combo could be great in the future.
I agree that right now, Hughes is more important to the team than Kwame, the reason I though Kwame would be able to slide in well was because Hughes would take a smaller role in the offense and on the team, but doing that would not be profitable. As the team looks right now, Kwame will not develop well staying on the Wizards unless Jamison is to be traded which really isn't going to happen. Their are many teams that will want him, including the Raptors, Lakers, Hawks, Suns as some that come to mind. Kwame needs to go on a team where he can be a top 3 option, and on the Wizards he'll be the 4th option with a declining role. It's just too hard to have three 20 PPG options, and then have to add another guy who's a possible 15-17 PPG option into the mix.
I would love Kwame to get traded to the Lakers, as tehy are my other favorite team. I think ATL would be a great place for him though.
