The last two games have been awful and as far as I'm concerned The Warriors should give time to Biendrens, Flores and either trade Dale Davis and Uncle Cliffy. The Warriors should also try to trade Fisher and Foyle. If any trade was to happen, The Warriors should look for trade exemptions, young talent or draft picks. The combination is not important, what is important is that the Warriors start to develop their young talent. Mullin brought Montgomery to teach the young players and lets face it we aren't going anywhere near the playoffs this year. let's start to build around J-rich and Murphy and if we can get an impact player that can help now then everybody except J-Rich and Murphy are expendable. If we can't get anybody that can impact the game in a trade, then let Montgomery start to teach players like Pietrus to stop taking those dumb ass 3 point shots. Start teaching Dunleavy to be aggressive and most importantly start implementing a system so the players can start to learn it. Who cares if the players are having a hard time learning it, the season is over so start to learn the system. I have had enough of this helter skelter offense. For christ sake somebody put up a screen, take a 12 footer and if we end up with the number one pick and don't have a sure prospect then lets trade the pick for an establish star player. I'm sure that most of what I said above might irk some of you for being farfetch, but hey we have to give playing time to all the young guys to see if we should sign them to long term contracts.

I agree that we are not going to be close to the playoffs again this year and that we should give our young players a chance like Biedrens. I liked how a few years ago we gave Arenas the starting PG position after the all star break and look how he blossomed. I dont know much about Flores and I dont know if he really is in our future but I definately think Biedrens is in our future. As far as trading away Fisher and Foyle we made the mistake of signing them and now we need to figure out a way to correct that mistake. I am okay with keeping Foyle, but IMO Fisher needs to go....

^Fisher for sure, but Foyle could be good off the bench for Biedrins. Two blockers and inside scorerers coming off the bench.

Trading Fisher and Foyle is probably the least likely thing to happen anytime soon. 1.) Their contracts are base year compensation years which are virtually untradeable until after two years. 2.) If it weren't for BYC in their contracts, Mullin wouldn't do it for the sake of his ego. By trading, he would have admitted that he fouled up the offseason and his dumping of salary cap and getting rid of NVE after we traded Jamison was all made in vain. Mullin has to live with this one, like the rest of us hopeful fans will be doing.

Custodian, you are forgetting the most important part. Nobody wants Fisher or Foyle with those contracts [IMG].

In reality, we should shut down this season, and salvage whatever we can get in rest of the season, because in order for us to win 45 games, we have to go 33-8 in West. However, I don't know Warriors will shut down the season, because if they did, it would look really bad on Mullin. Actually, it really is loss-loss situation for Mullin, unless we somehow makes PO. If we give up this season and fail to reach 37 wins mark miserably (which really isn't far off from the true, since we managed to win 12 games in 41 games), all his 'bold' moves, such as firing Muss and signing FAs, will be blamed directly. And, if we try to win as many games as possible to 'challenge' PO spot, or save Mullin's face, we will end up worse position in draft picks and it will cut playing time for our young players in meaningless season.

And... Didn't Mullin fire Muss because they thought Muss was underachiving and not developing young talents? Since it's pretty clear that we can't even come close to 'underachive' at this point, shouldn't they at least attempt to act like they will develop young talent? Especially when PO is virtually impossible? I hope we can do at least one of two...

They will if we trade away Jrich or whoever is our best player two years from now to take on those bad contracts like we did with Jamison for expiring contracts. [IMG] Unless the W's make smart drafts and smart free agent signings and start winning, they'll have no leverage in trades or financial flexibilty and we will just get abused by other GM's constantly unless the owner finally knows something about who to hire in the first place. We've been bent over by so many teams with the management we've had, there just comes a time when we start skipping the lube and doing it to ourselves. If you're not sure what you want to do with the franchise, Mullin, try "short contracts" and "locker room personality" for a low low price. The guy must have though the salary cap was some kind of hat.
