The Raps are 1 game back of the Knicks who themselves are a game behind 2 teams in the Atlantic. I hope some of this might lead the people above to be more open about the saying "anything can happen". And actually start listening when people say that in the NBA anyone can beat anyone on any given night. New York has potential. But fans should not look down on other teams. As a matter of fact they should be looking up...cause thats where a vast majority of the other teams in the league are.
lol guys that they didn't know....like marshall? rose? murray? bonner? if you haven't heard of these guys...then you don't follow the NBA too much ..ya i guess the two games we spanked the Knicks at home were both flukes ..
That got a laugh out of me. Yea the game was fluke because we were hitting jumpers Guess nobody noticed that we we're a jumpshooting team . That guy's right, Marshall, Rose, Peterson, Bonner have never hit a jumper in their life This Tribute guy is really full of himself. Can't accept a loss, geez. And mrj18, if you haven't noticed, our bench is another strength as well. You never heard of Jalen Rose or Donyell Marshall, or even Lamond Murray? I could understand Milt Palacio who didn't really even play well, but how can you not 'Yell and Rose? You probably didn't know about Matt Bonner, but know you do, the best mid-range shooter in the NBA.
Arghhhhh, Knick fans! Matt Bonner, Murray, and Peterson never hit a mid range shot?! oh please stop. They get blown out both times they come to the ACC, and steal one against us at MSG when VC misses a lay up when it was a one possesion game with 20 seconds to go, add to that they have the league's highest, most outrageous payroll and the league's "Best " point guard in Marbury, yet they're out of the playoff picture in the East and still think they're way ahead of us??! This is probably what would happen to you when you listen and follow Peter Vescey and Frank Isola on daily basis :bonk:
02Civic stop making these mistakes. You'll be biting your tongue later. We don't make fun of the incorrect statements you make in the Knicks forum. Your comments on the Knicks reflect how often you watch them...which is only when they play Toronto. You keep doing this and we'll have to dissect all of your ridiculous posts in the Knicks forum to make you understand just how little you know about the Knicks. So I wouldn't be trashing Knicks posters when your posts are of the lowest quality in our forum. Not to mention the fact that you starting this thread just to exhibit your thoughts on others and to make them feel foolish is absolutely disgusting. And it shows how much you know - to take other people's oponions and to make fun of them when in the meantime you yourself are looking worse than them is really very stupid. Just my opinion. This thread should be locked or deleted.

People have dish, NBA League Pass...They can watch Knicks game anytime they're on. It's just possible that he only posts when they face his home team, like me. I get to watch a lot of Knicks game, but I only comment when they face the Raps. That's just an assumption you're making, unless you and him are secretly close friends and know everything about eachother, which I doubt.
Banks - He posts all the time. And his poor quality posts and such exhibit no understanding of the Knicks as a team. I said by the quality of his posts it appears as if he barely watches the Knicks. I realize what NBA League Pass is etc. As I have it so I can watch other NBA games not only the Knicks. I'm just assuming it because from his posts one would think he certainly doesn't watch the Knicks often at all.

Didn't I say bench players making some TOUGH midrange jumpers? This could mean contested, this can also mean the players were in bad position to shoot, can it? First time we were ice cold and you were on fire, second game we lost our lead a bit and it came down to the wire. The third game was that 3 point shootout and our 4th quarter collapse We had a bad stretch. Just like the Raptors for the last couple of years. Or more like their whole franchise history. All he does is come over (whether we play the Raptors or not) and bash us. Then if something good happens to the Knicks, he wont say anything. He doesn't know much about the Knicks which lead Knicks Analyst to say that.

As of your assemsent, yes I realized it could mean a contested tough shot, or in bad positions to shoot, but that's why the players I mentioned above are in the game for, to make such shots and they're very capable of it. Just the fact that you said "Players I never heared of" proves me that you rarely watch the Raptors or have an idea of what the players are capable/incapable of, therefore, your assessment is basicly worthless.

But if you're looking for players that can hit tough contested jumpers with hands in their face, that's Jalen Rose, that's Donyell Marshall, that's Matt Bonner, that's Mo Peterson. The only player that takes tough shots on a consistant basis on the Raptors is Jalen Rose. Since we're a team, we look to pass the ball around and find the open player. Since Jalen is since a good individual player, he'll take those tough shots, plus those tough shots you see him take, aren't really tough to him because he's been doing that his whole career. Marshall will take 3's with hands in face, but that doesn't effect him because he has really long arms, which makes it for defenders to block. Mo Pete, has some high arc in his shot, which makes it for defenders to block as well. Those may seem like tough shots to you, but really they do that eveyrtime. And Matt Bonner...well he just hits any shot.

There are some good shooters in the league, but anytime you do that on the regular, you will not have any problems. They were on fire weren't they? One can not deny that. If the Raptors are really like that, then they would be the best team in the league right now.
Btw, I am sorry if I have offended any Raptor fan. I am sure you can understand how I feel. Labeled as a "Silly Knick" fan, by a silly dude, and attempts to try and bash me, I take great offense to.
This is ridiculous. This thread was built for flaming and it's worthless. I think it's called 'baiting' or something. I will refrain from posting in this thread from this point on and I will start looking for a moderator to close it or delete it.

We don't have low post presence, nor interior toughness, rebounding has been a problem in many games and our late game defence has been a problem for a while now, but shooting was the only thing we could hang our heads on 'cause it's been there for the majority of the time (although sometimes we die by the 3). We make thos shots on consitent basis, it's other problems that we encounter that costs us games. That game wasn't nearly our best game of the season! EDIT: I'm out as well, game will start in a bit.

Our problem is, that we don't get enough high perecentage shots when plays aren't running for someone like Jalen or Bosh. Alston can go into the lane and create shots for others, but when Jalen or Bosh aren't in the game, or not getting plays run for them, we have to rely on ball movement and player movement, in order to get the highest percentage shot available. Also, the reason we aren't a playoff team, yet, is because we can't rebound. We're weak inside, Hoffa is still learning, and other teams outwill us for rebounds. We also aren't a very good defensive team. We have a few good individual defensive players, but we're not that good defensively as a team.
