But patience is something I learned over the years," said Jackson. </div> http://newyorkpost.com/sports/nets/38735.htm If this is true, it's either that Mourning is lying about his conditions or he's on the verge of coming back, maybe not to play for the Raps but to play with another team.
i was reading that on one of the other websites, still need more info on his contract would he really want a buyout of a few million when he is making nearly the max and would it benefit the raptors if he comes back to play because i am not sure if the raptors or nets were actually paying him (similar to jim jackson but without the publicity) what do u guys think?
sorry did not mean max i think is contract is over 20 million over 4 years with two or three years left on it
feel like i am talking to myself here hahahaha anyways wouldn't it be awesome if he came back to play against miami this wednesday depending on how good he looked or how accurate jim jackson is
I doubt he'll be back that soon. Even if he's healthy, it is believed that he doesn't want to play for the Raptors and the Vince Carter deal was done under assumption that 'Zo might never play for the Raptors. Raptors are paying him and it's not being paid by the insurance because Babcock waived the physical exam clause for 'Zo in the trade. Maybe we can trade him with Marshall to somewhere... I don't know.

I don't think moving Jalen would be a smart move to make as of now. Jalen single handedly won the last 4 games for us with his clutch shooting and I see Babcock keeping Rose at least until the off-season.
i agree. Keep Rose who is producing and try to make him satisfied with being 6thman. Mo should not be pulled to the bench though if Rose does start. And i like Eric starting too cause he doest the little things and doesnt need the ball so that Mo and Bosh can get going early. Trade Zo with Marshall for someone half decent...an expiring contract maybe. How bout Glenn Robinson?
Good thing for Toronto. A part of the reason for the trade, is because Toronto doesn't have a real C. Mourning will provide some veteran experience defensive toughness, and some offense here and there. With the paint somewhat locked up and Bosh drawing attention along with the 3 point shooters, you will have a solid lineup. Hopefully he decides to stay but, I think he still wants to be a memeber of the Miami Heat.

Sure, the contracts work out but we're giving up way too much. Anything involving 'Yell and Phillies must include Samuel Dalembert.
I hate Zo. This guy can't even honor a contract. We really have to make him play or force him to play. If not we can deny his contract like NO did Jim Jacksons.
'Zo wasnever expected to play when we got him, so its not that big of a deal to me. But, I find it as no surprise that 'Zo is working out. But, when JJ says it it can be meant very broadly. However, I would like to deny his contract like NO did Jim Jackson's. But if he is working out and he is willing tho play for the Raptors I say give it a shot.
The thing is, we can't deny him the contract anymore because Babcock waived the notion that requires 'Zo to report within 48 hours and he also waived the notion that 'Zo has to pass physical exam. If Babcock didn't waive the notion that requires 'Zo to report, then we would've been able to suspend 'Zo without pay.
What do you guys think we can get for him? Could we get say? Could we get a first round draft pick from a contending team? Then some filler that doesn't have a long contract. Or should we just trade him for anything.
Id trade him for a snickers bar right about now and save alot of money. I read somewhere (Toronto Sun, I think) that the Raps are paying him 30,000 a day ever since we got him.

I know if Carter was still around jacking up fade away jumpers while being wide open, then Jalen would just start jacking up threes. It would really hurt Bosh, Alston, and Bonner, a few guys who always cared. Well he will probably be worth something if someone gets to see him play ever. I hope he plays for at least 5 games and practices with us for a week. To show that he has recovered from his minor injuries.(not kidney)
The Carter trade was a good move, considering we got two first round picks out of it along with solid veterans in Eric Williams and Aaron Williams (minus 'Zo). People say Carter could be playing the way he's playing in Jersey right now even if he stayed in Toronto, but that's just bs. Look at Jalen Rose. He isn't happy coming off the bench, but he loves Toronto and he wants to be here and that's what makes him play hard every night.

Mourning is under contract with Toronto (he was included in the Vince Carter trade) and therefore it would be against league rules for him to formally speak with the Heat. One Heat official said Mourning didn't even speak casually to President Pat Riley or other front-office personnel. Mourning is in Miami taking care of health and personal issues and might not report back to the Raptors.</div> lol, Zo was at a Heat game already. I wonder if he'll buy someone's season tickets. article
jimmy jax and zo should be suspended by Stern and the NBA. You cannot just not report to work like that. Zo is lucky that Babcock didn't suspend him. Even Thorn outright said that the Nets would suspend Elden Campbell if he decided not to play. Now he's playing. GM's gotta send a message to these guys.
