Do you think we can resign sammy as a free agent? If not, what are some trade possibilities?

I'm not worried about Sammy D leaving us, I'm confident we can resign him. If Sammy keeps up the level of play he has been putting in lately then we need to lock him up long term. SD did seem to struggle early on, in a new system with a new coach and I think that altered his performance at times. But now he is coming alive into the player we all know he can be. Let's just hope he can stay consistent, and stay hungry.

As for the off season Dalembert is a restricted free agent, that basically means the only way he can change teams is if we let him go. Hopefully Sam didn't take getting lower minutes to hard, I'm sure he wont considering the recent opportunities Coach O'Brien has been giving him lately.

Sammy will stay with us if his good work continues. He was the biggest factor on our team other than Iverson in that big win against the Miami Heat. Also his huge game agsint Orlando even though it resulted in a loss, it maybe pumped him up. Sammy is starting to feel his rhytm on this team and if he stays in rhytm I am confident like Silky that he will stay with us. However we CANNOT let Salembert go for nothing. IF we can't resign him we got to trade him for Joe Johnson. However Now that I see Dalemberts beast mode I would rather keep Dalembert.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sixers president and general manager Billy King was emphatic in shooting down the recent trade rumors involving sending Samuel Dalembert to Phoenix for Joe Johnson. "We're not trading Sammy for Joe Johnson," King said before last night's game. He went on to say that the Sixers wouldn't be trading Samuel Dalembert for anybody.</div><font size="1">-www.benmaller.com</font>

IN my opinion this is very good news. Once Sam D becomes consistent he will be a huge part of are future. Obviously King may not be worried about Dalembert signing some where else this year. I'm sure if he was worried about Sam signing some where else, he would be taking offers for him and I dont think he is.

It's good to see that he's a restricted FA. If he became a FA this summer he was as good as gone. Many GM's see the potential this kid has and they would through big bucks at Sammy. I'm sure he would be very overwhelmed and the type of offers that was going to be given to him and without second guessing he would sign the first offer that any random team would offer him. But since he's a restricted FA, I have no doubts that he will be leaving us. King needs to sign him to a nice lucrative contract and get this offer with so we can look to sign on of the many of the great players that are on their last year.
