wow... surprised that NO ONE started a thread on this one.... Kings won in pretty convincing fashion last night against the nets 113-93 in a game that was not really as close as the score would indicate. Miller had a great game and led all scorers with 31pts 12rbs and 5asts. This would have been the real matchup the Kings had to (and did) exploit as there really isnt a low post presence for the Nets. The outcome of this game really shouldnt be all that surprising as the Nets are really not doing that well right now to begin with when you consider the injuries they are dealing with. But it was good to see the Kings offensive game getting back to what its supposed to look like after laying an egg in the previous game. the Kings racked up 21 assists last night and were passing the ball fairly well. Stojakovic was also back to being agressive in the post (well... he was agressive at times... which is better than clanking 3's or just not shooting at all). and Songaila looked pretty good in the start. Webber (ankle) and Evans (groin) were out for this game and the good news is that this time Webb actually stayed for the whole game rather than skippin the 4th Q to go grab some cash at the ATM. needed win for them going into the road trip where they will be facing SA, Houston and Minny.
Yeah, I'm also surprised that no one has started any preview threads. (Good on you harbinger for actually gettin something done). I thought that the Kings played very well last night. They seem to have two teams, the one with Webb in the line up and the one without Webb in the lineup. The latter is able to be successful if there is no talented big man to go up against, which happened to be the case last night. Brad Miller played solidly, quietly putting up 31, Peja shot the ball well, with 25, Cat Mobley had his best game as a King, putting up 20, 10 assists and 7 rebounds. Mike Bibby also had a great game putting up 20 and dishing out 10. It was a total team effort on Tuesday, but make no mistake about it. If the Kings are going to make some noise in the playoffs, they need a healthy Chris Webber.
