Last nights loss to the Sonics just proves that this team with or without Kobe cannot compete with the top 5 teams in the West. If the Lakers want to stay out of the lottery management needs to do something before the trade deadline to add a solid starter or at least some bench strength.
    J. Kidd, Baron Davis, Jalen Rose, Michael Redd, anybody else?

no! no trades. stop talking about our lack of bench strength. walton played great last night and so did JJ.

lakers did alright last night considering they were w/o Kobe. if Kobe was there then it wouldve been a whole different story.

our team is full of talented players. give them a break. they are exceeding expectations anyway.

I think that the Lakers need someone who can flourish without the ball. Both Kobe and Lamar need the ball to play well. That is why Lamar is playing well with Kobe out.

I think you need an unselfish talented player, and a decent point guard.

I think they Lakers cast is fine.. it is just the way they are playing. Some nights they play crappy defense and the other teams win. Other games they failed to close out and have no intensity. If everyone can just group together and play good solid basketball for every single game i have no doubt for them even making past the second round in the playoffs.
