<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Let's consider that a little reality check. A quick confirmation that as well as the Lakers have seemingly been playing without Kobe Bryant, they are still several rungs down the ladder from the NBA's premier teams.
Not that they were exactly being confused with the Spurs when they had Kobe. But their surprising play with him sitting in the dressing room nursing his sore ankle had some wondering.

Just how good is this team sans their superstar?

Answer presented Tuesday night: Not that good.

Not good enough to hang with the league's better teams. Certainly not good enough to beat the Seattle SuperSonics at home.

The Sonics are the surprise team of the NBA. A team figured for the underside of the Pacific Conference, one that made no significant offseason addition.</div>

    Lottery Lakers

After watching the last two games and the prior games with Kobe I am convinced this is not a playoff team. By the end of Feb. the Lakers will be out of any future playoff picture and no trades to help the team seem to be on the horizon according to recent interviews with Mitch Cupcake or Jerry
Bussted up the Dynasty. Since the Lakers will be in the lottery, can anybody out there compile a list of potential draft choices coming out of college or europe? Might as well start looking for next year.
I have been a Laker fan for thirty years and have never seen a Laker team this bad with almost no hope on the horizon. Even Jack Nicholson is not showing up and the LA Times just said the Lakers are on the same or lower level as the Clippers. [IMG]

We Win 2 games all of you guys get excited and start jumping around about how good we are.

We lose 2 games and everyones down talkin smack about the Lakers and saying oh we suck this much and jerry and mitch need to get fired.

You guys need to relax 2 games are not going to break or make our season. We all need to just relax and enjor out young and very talented yet unexperienced team.

All we need as Lakers fans is patience. Start complaining and talkin smack when we dont make the playoffs.

    For now Shutup and watch.

What games are you watching? Where is the young talent? These guys are not rookies, they are washed up and they are taking up $25,000,000 in salary for the next five years and nobody else wants em! Take a look at the stats and in a month when the Lakers are no. 12 seed with no hope and get back to me then about the lottery pick. It takes some a longer time to see the reality of the situation. Kobe is not a great enough player to take these CBA rejects to the playoffs or anywhere else. [IMG]

You've got to be kidding me. Washed up?? hahah

Listen man i dont know what you are a Lakers fan a Spurs fan but whatever you are at least think before you write stuff like this.

Sure Tierre might belong i nthe CBA, and hes not playing all that great. But from most of the Lakers including Kobe, Tierre is the only one that can break down a defense so easily, he gets in the paint so easy with no problems.

Now all he has to do is learn how to finish or kick it out without turning the ball over. Its a waste of handles when you have no finish.

Im just saying look on the bright side were young were going to have to learn how to play like a mature team.

Now say whatever you want but dont say stuff that are not true or dont make sense.

And most of the people that have been postin negatives about this team ar bandwagoners.

And by the way you call youself a Laker Fan.?? [IMG]
