LeBron James.. please do it this year Bron...

i can't take another one like last years dud with Fred Jones winning just because J-Rich missed a dunk, just horrible.

he hasn't said no yet.. thats a good sign.

J.R. Smith should get in too, who else you guys think should enter?? (that hasnt did it before)

Also Travis Outlaw and J.R. Giddens.. oh wait hes still in college [IMG]

Vince Carter. I still think he has the creativeness and flair to make this competition really memorable. Second choice is Lebron.

I think you're forgetting Vince cant be in it, neither can J-Rich, its only for players playing within their first 3 years, Vince is in year 6 and J-Rich year 4

I can see that lineup but alot of people are forgetting Sixers rookie Andre Igoudala. Hes got some really nice hops and has had some very sick throwdowns this season.

    Fixing the dunk contest

The only problem isnt the quality of the player it is the format that allows for player to win because other players just miss dunks. If anyone saw last years college dunk contest (andre emmet won by dunking over a group of teens huddled together) the format was much better. Instead of getting one dunk attempt they are given a minute to get one down and it counts. So if they miss they still have time left. Much better than the NBA format. My group is:

    LBJ
Andre Emmet (he hasnt gotten much of a chance to dunk this year but his performance in the college contest convinces me)
    Josh Smith
J.R. Smith / Dwayne Wade / Iggy / Fred Jones

Lebron isn't that good in terms of contest dunking, he has hops, and power, but he doesn't have the agility and grace in the air like other guys do because he's so big.

    Fred Jones
    Josh Smith
    JR Smith
    Ben Gordon

Everyone keeps neglecting Gordon, but the man can throw it down...

If they really want to, they'll allow them, just like Ricky Davis last year.

If Josh Smith isn't in the contest...those people must be blind.

He is one of the most athletically gifted players I've ever seen.

Honestly, Josh Smith isn't as agood as a dunk as you guys think he is. He's very athletic, strong and powerful, and can finish tough plays resulting in dunks, but he does not have a lot of creativity. Very good dunker, but not creative enough.

J-Rich says he done, and so is Dez, so I think it should be something like this:

    LeBron James
Vince Carter - if he wants in
    Andre Iguodala/JR Smith
Fred Jones- will be back to defend title

exactly what i was gonna say, most of his dunks are just 2 handed alleyoops and one handed dunks. He doesnt have creatvity, although you may never know, we'll just have to see what he has if he enters. But I think it'll be Lebron, Josh/or JR Simth, Iguodala, and fred jones.

Yeah I saw that dunk contest, its was awesome, I personally thought Jarret Jack should've won, but Andre Emmet was equally as impressive.

Also I stand corrected on the issue of who is eligible for the contest and who isnt, but could Ricky D have been a last minute replacement for LeBron pulling out?
