Below are the rosters for the 2005 got milk? Rookie Challenge: ROOKIE TEAM ROSTER Tony Allen Luol Deng Ben Gordon Devin Harris Dwight Howard Andre Iguodala Emeka Okafor Josh Smith Beno Udrih SOPHOMORE TEAM ROSTER Carmelo Anthony Chris Bosh Udonis Haslem Kirk Hinrich Josh Howard LeBron James Kyle Korver Luke Ridnour Dwyane Wade Information on Rookie Game and more Yes, Chris Bosh made it, but that's no surprise, but Matt Bonner got left out the Rookie Squad. I had a feeling that he might get snubbed. I mean, how do Devin Harris and Beno Udrih make it over Bonner? Just ridiculious. Devin Harris had an ok first half to the season, then he got benched, and he hasn't played many minutes since, and hasn't played much either. Beno Udrih, well he's an energy guy, but he hasn't been as consistant as Bonner, and he hasn't been productive like him as well. Raptors should protest, I know Chuck will be ranting on this during Rap games whenever Bonner is in.
Nine rookies? Shouldn't there be 12? Anyways, Udrih won the Rookie Of The Month for December, so it would be right for him at least to be named to the roster. Looking at that team though, the only two big men are Okafor and Howard. I think that Bonner and Collison of Seattle should have made it too. Something smells fishy here...

Nick Collison has been a dissapointment, hasn't gotten much PT either. Size doesn't matter in the rookie game, especially over the past few years where the top big men have been busts or projects. EDIT: btw, who picks the rosters? GM's? Or some people in the league office like Stu Jackson.
Something tells me because he plays in Canada had to do with it. It's obvious in the USA now that Vince was gone (even when we had Vince probably) the Raps will be one of the last highlights unless they are playing the Heat, Nuggets, Cavs, etc. I guess nobody besides Canadians didn't realize his talents.
I don't think he really got snubbed to tell the truth, they can't have all small forwards and big men in the game, their's 9 spots, and 5 went to Forwards, and 4 to guards. Udrih: 5.8 points, 1 rebound, 2.0 assists, 45.5% FG, 41.5% 3PT, 14.3 mins Harris: 5.7 points, 1 rebound, 2.3 assists, 1.11 steals, 40.8%. 16.1 mins Bonner: 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.49 steals, 55.1%, 17.5 mins The difference in numbers is really not much, and they both play less minutes than him too, but I'd take him over Harris for sure, Jameer Nelson could've gone over Harris. Who knows...Mark Cuban probably wrote a lot of articles to get Harris in, and Udrih is on the Spurs, and is pretty good, so though his numbers aren't super, I don't mind him being in. Bonner also didn't get in because of position, and because he isn't better than any of the forwards that were ahead of him, and even some that didn't make it could be argued as better than Bonner. If anyone got snubbed it was: Nenad Kristic: 7.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.05 blocks Andres Nocioni: 7.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.53 steals or Al Jefferson: 7.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.00 blocks, Jefferson is injured though, so that's probably why he didn't make it.
Yeah, but then you gotta look at it this way. The rooks needs at least 2 people who's primary position is a PG. I think the only people who pay atttention to Bonner are the Rap fans anyway.

He was a little rusty at the begginning of the season (minutes had some to do with it). Only since the Carter trade has he been performing like this. Same can be same for Allen based on the past couple of months, but I think he deserves it. Bonner has played better and has been more consistant than Devin Harris and Udrih. If they did play more minutes, then ya they probably would do better than him, however they aren't. I thought Al should of been there at first, but then I realized he got injured so, that took him out. Bonner got snubbed to me still. You could say the same for players like Jameer, Nocioni, Nenad or whoever, but I just can't get over Devin Harris and Beno Udrih being picked over him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah, but then you gotta look at it this way. The league and whoever picks the rookies and sophmores need to pay attention to Bonner and the other rookies. I could care less about other non-rap fans not paying attention to Bonner.

yeah its true... players that play in Canada get no love from da states, just cause they play in Canada
Their's also Josh Childress who is averaging 6.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.74 steals in 22 minutes. He's rebounding better than Bonner per minute, and his scoring has been inconsistent, but okay.
Nocioni, Bonner, Krstic should've been in the team hmm coincidence?.. Nociona and Krstic are international players and Bonner's playin in Canada..!
I think another factor is when they were drafted, Bonner was drafted last season, Kristic 2 years ago, and Nocioni is an international rookie. No one has mentioned Nick Collison, but he could also be very slightly considered, he has 4.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.32 steals in 14, but he was also drafted last season.
i agree, nenad kristic (sp.) got screwed. anyways, freshman are going to get stampeded on, the sophomores have 5 potential hall of famers on their roster.
The more I think about it the more I think Bonner didn't get snubbed. There are a lot of other players out there who should be in the game but didn't make it for various reasons. Bonner is a good player but he isn't the only player who got snubbed. BTW Beno Udrih? Give me a break. Take about your Western Conference shoe in. And it is the assistant coaches who vote for the rookies and sophomores.
What are Mo Williams numbers? I heard there was a chance that he may make the sophomore team, but it was a longshot.
^ tell me who you would replace for mo willliams? Carmelo Anthony Chris Bosh Udonis Haslem Kirk Hinrich Josh Howard LeBron James Kyle Korver Luke Ridnour Dwyane Wade bolded are probably going to be hofers, but i dont know about hinrich

I didn't say I'd replace anyone for Mo, I just heard whispers that he could make the team. I know the trade to Milwaukee has given him the chance to shine and there was a small chance he could make it according to the Sporting News. The only person I could see him replace is Haslem, but that cuts it close.
