Fred-Ex is on the move. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have terminated the contract of WR Freddie Mitchell. We appreciate everything Freddie has contributed to the Eagles organization over the last four years," said head coach Andy Reid. "By releasing him now, it gives him the opportunity for a new start with another team in the NFL." In his four seasons with the Eagles, Mitchell played in 63 games and had 90 catches for 1,263 yards and five touchdowns. Of those 90 receptions, 64 were good for first downs. Mitchell is best remembered on the field for his catch on a fourth-and-26 play that kept the Eagles' 2003 season alive in the NFC Divisional Playoff game against Green Bay in January, 2004.</div> And remembered off the field for his mouth and for thanking his hands for being so great . Good move by the Eagles IMO.

Looks like he could end up in Washington...where average receivers go to die. Tampa Bay is also very interested...the OTHER team where average receivers go to die...
You would think that if a 1st round pick has had only 90 catches in 4 years, and has done nothing but talk, would eventually shut up and just do their job. This guy has gotten so much publicity for doing absolutely nothing at all in his career. He's kind of like footballs John Rocker.

Denver, Atlanta and Tennessee are now also in the hunt... Denver? Mike Shannahan must be REALLY losing it this off season. First the acquisition of the Browns' entire crappy D-Line, then drafting Maurice Clarett in the third round and NOW trying to sign Freddie Mitchell? Wow... Glad I'm not a Denver fan this year.
Atlanta had better not sign that idiot. That guy is a waste of space, thats the last thing the Falcons need.
Mitchell might still make a good #3 somewhere. Atlanta has to find SOMEONE to throw to. Peerless Price ain't exactly "gettin' 'er done."
We all know peerless aint the problem in atlanta, no way he signs there, playing with vick is like an immediate 60% deduction in amount of production for a reciever
Here we go again, regardless of what you say BF1, Price contributed plenty to his own downfall in production. The guy doesnt give the effort a #1 WR should be giving. Simple as that. As far as the problems in Atlanta go, there is more than one. Vick is not the entire problem. The WRs are nothing special, Vick needs to improve on passing, and the O-Line is not so great either.
i agree with BF i mean the guy had a 1000+ yards 10+ TD season (i think) with Buffalo with Drew Bledsoe throwing to him and then went to Atlanta and had a huge downfall with Vick throwin to him, call it a bust but i think there are a couple other factors in the equation
Price was a #2 in Buffalo, when hes got a #1 guy like Moulds on the other side I would hope that his numbers would be that good. I've already placed some blame on Vick for Price's decline in numbers, however in this case the blame does fall on him as well. I would just like to see the guy give some effort out on the field. I dont think thats too much to ask from a WR making as much money as he is. When Price starts putting forth a better effort then I can say that its Vicks inability to pass the ball that is causing Price to be less productive, until then forget it.
