Read an article where this could happen.Sorry if any info is wrong.

Lebrons contract with Cleveland runs out in 07 and he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Now if cleveland doesnt get their gear together he might want to move. If lebron moves to the bright lights (NY,LA or Chicago) He nearly doubles his endorsement money. LA wouldnt be able to afford him because of Kobe and im sure Kobe wouldnt want a pay cut [IMG] . it makes me laugh thinkin bout it.
If he heads to NY which im uncertain of but im pretty sure that NY is over the salary cap or close to it and they dont have the money for it.
This is where the bulls come into it. They not only have a young team which will run and im sure lebron is half good in the open court LOL [IMG] he may want to head here. Chicago has 13.8million dollars left in their salary and if they resign Curry and Chandler for the same salary which a BIG if, they will definetly make a bid for Lebron. Lebron in a chicago uniform, oh yeh that guy used to play for them what was his name, Air Jordan or something? [IMG]

Big if here but it is achieveable. and no im not a crazy bulls fan from back in the 90's, well i was but thats not the point. Im not just makin this stuff up, Its true facts that im presenting so plz dont just come out and say OH NO WAY. I may have something wrong so sorry if it is and im welcome for any fix ups of errors.

LeBron will never leave Cleveland. Even if he does, he will probably be a old 38 year old who could maybe give you 10-15 points a night.

He probably wont. LeBron James is playing at his hometown and Cleveland is looking pretty good. I doubt that LeBron would do that. Money isn't a factor for him he already has a ton of endorsement deals and things like that so I don't see his decision being financial. If he does decide to leave, I do hope he decides to go to New York. [IMG]

    I can dream can I?

Well money can be a factor. He has something in his contract, where he can get like double what he's earning right now from Nike and Sprite, if he signs with one of the 3 major markets (Chicago, NY, LA). However, LeBron has no plans on switching teams. He wants to stay a Cav, and I'll think it'll stay that way.

Well, it would make all that much better playing in the worlds most famous arena and being around the biggest market.

    ^Two different positions.

We can use any person who even is considered to be the next Michael Jordan.

I would not be surprised if LeBron James leaves Cleveland to play for a large market team. Cleveland fans know first hand, loyalty, no longer exists in the sports world. The people negotiating these contracts are the sports agents, not the athlete. They want to make the most off of their clients, and endorsements is a big carrot for them to go after. LeBron has been awe struck by the history of Madison Square Garden, and has expressed his desires to play in New York. I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks end up with him when he becomes a free agent.

LeBron James is represented by Aaron Goodwin, and he already has a connection with the Knicks, because he also represents Jamaal Crawford. You have to wonder if the table has been set for a sign and trade?

The Knicks also have five players with expiring contracts, which will create more than enough room to sign LeBron James. Those players are Penny Hardaway ($15.8M), Tim Thomas ($14M), Nazr Mohammed ($5.5M), Vin Baker ($3.8M), & Moochie Norris ($4.5M)

Why would LeBron ever leave Cleveland?
Remember John Lucas? He was some what of a mentor for LeBron James, and they looked forward to working together at the pro level. John Lucas was the coach of the Cavs, but was let go when they drafted LeBron James. This move caused a reaction for LeBron James to not want to play in Cleveland and to follow John Lucas. In case you forgot here's the Link.

However, LeBron James retracted his anger and developed a bond with the owner of the Cavs, Gordon Gund.
James, meanwhile, said he'll work hard for Gund.

"Ever since I knew I was going to be drafted by Cleveland, I've just wanted to help any way I could to make us a better team," James said. "It's amazing everything that he has been able to accomplish in his life."

Unfortunately Gund is no longer the owner of the Cavs selling the team last year. LeBron James might be saying all the right things about playing for the new owner, but inside he has to feel a taste of disloyalty. In the end Gordon Gund was about the money he lost, and not the championship team he wanted to build around LeBron James. So don't be surprised if LeBron James does the same and bolts out of Cleveland for more money and opportunity.

With the salary cap in place, it's going to be difficult for a team like the Cavs to bring in the players to win a championship with LeBron. They are hoping to get a hometown discount this summer with Michael Redd, but once they commit to the max deal with LeBron, their cap space will potentially be used up on two players. Cleveland doesn't have the same advantages a Los Angeles or New York does. Those cities can offer money and opportunity outside of basketball, that a small town cannot.

If you start seeing John Lucas hanging around the Knicks franchise near the end of LeBron's Cleveland deal, watch out for an NBA blockbuster deal.

Lebron will be offered the most money from Cleveland, it's his hometown, and he's got a franchise that is being built around him, both on and off the floor, as we speak. I don't see him passing that up to wear Jordan's old jersey, play in Laker Land, or be buddy-buddy with Isiah Thomas. Lebron has expressed nothing but pleasure during his stay in Cleveland, his team and his image are on the rise, and things can only get bigger and better from here.

You'd have to be a nimrod to think Cle. would ever let him go. Plus Cle. is his hometown.

A lot of nimrods also believed Shaq would never play anywhere, but Orlando.

As for the hometown aspect of LeBron staying in Cleveland, I think it's overrated. It makes for a happy ending, but let's face it, LeBron has conquered the city of Akron, Cleveland, and pretty much the rest of Ohio. It's the typical cliche, "A big fish in a small pond." There is no guarantee LeBron will <u>not</u> want to experience life outside of Cleveland. As you get older there's a natural desire to seek and experience a different way of life. Is the state of Ohio enough to satisfy those urges? The more common path a player takes is to return to their hometown when their career is close to being over.

Another factor to consider is LeBron's mother. The lone dominant figurehead in his family was, and still is to this day, his mother, Gloria. She has a hold over her son, and she has expensive taste. Rember the infamous H2 Hummer incident? She will definitely be wined and dined when the time comes and she'll be very influential over her son's decision. She was the target in the Adidas and Nike shoe deals, and despite Adidas supporting him throughout his high school and having a strong relationship with LeBron. In the end he chose Nike because they gave him the most money.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> "I'll do what's best for me. I don't have a timetable. It's a business and I need to start early because things are about to get crazy."</div> That was a quote taken from the IUPUI press conference prior to being drafted, when Nike and Adidas were courting him.
