I don't think he will leave, and apparantly he doesn't either. I didn't actually hear this, but apparantly he said after the game that "I'm not going anywhere and a lot of the other guys aren't going anywhere." That suggests that he won't demand a trade, and I don't think the Cav's will want to get rid of him. Looks like he could be here for a long time.

The Cavs will steal Curry from the Bulls. The Knicks will continue to try to find suckers to take on their bloated contracts-but no dice. Someday they wil expire. The Lakers will trade their first round pick for Latrell Sprewell. You heard it here.
If Lebron really wants to make his mark, then he should go to the Knicks and resurrect that franchise. New York is still considered the media mecca of the world, so he would definitely have them at his feet (not that he doesn't already).
Why would you try and resurrect the knicks when he could do the same thing in cleveland. Both franchises have struggled in recent times and if you had the choice of staying in cleveland, ur first team, or moving to another struggling team, ud stay put. Thats why chicago are gona get him, because they know how to make finals, and the young team will give lebron not 1 championship but many more!

It would be a perfect fit for Lebron in New York. If he goes in 2007 or 2008, I think those are the years when all of the poisen players with big contracts expire anyway. So if they sign Lebron maxed-out and get other free agents then it should be alright. I doubt it though if Lebron will go to the Cavs or Knicks. If phil comes back, he won't coach for that long. If they build around Lebron, the coach should stay while Lebron is playing. So get a young coach for the Knicks and sign Lebron and he'll be the biggest athlete in the country which sucks because I am a huge Kobe and Laker fan.
NY is in such a hole right now, its gona take 2-3 years to get themselves out of it for sure. Why when lebron gets out of contract with the cavs would he go to the knicks? he would rather stay! chicago is a whole lot closer to the playoff championship calabor team that will suit his game and they will suit him!
The best thing that can happen to the NBA is to put LeBron in New York. The money is not a problem because Nike will make up the difference until such time the Knicks can free up the money. Think about it, NY hasn't won a championship since '73 and who's the best player in Knicks history. Patrick Ewing who didn't even play on their best team. The mecca of world basketball and they have no substanial history. Clyde, Willis, Earl the Pearl, Debussere, Bradley, etc., all very good players in their day but all at the same time. LeBron would rule the world of basketball, and how great for the NBA. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Knicks fan, just a historian of the game. I'm a struggling Laker fan, but I'm not worried, someone (KG, Amaire, Yao, etc.) will want to live and play in LA within the next year or two and we'll be right back on top. Nothing would be greater than to have a NY LA rivalry in the NBA. Sorry San Antonio, Phoenix, Detroit, Miami, Dallas, Seattle, etc., noting personal, I just long for the days of Magic vs. Bird, Wilt vs. Russell, Celtics vs. Lakers, Jordan vs. the league.

It puzzles me how people already make assumptions before the season starts. With all of our expiring contracts, new rookies, and everything else, people assume that the Knicks will be a perrenial lottery team in the next couple of seasons. What if Chicago is unable to resign their core by 2007?
