<div align="center"> Complete Picks </div> I agree that the Spurs should be considered the ultimate winners. They have the best team and the best player. Nash is the Most Valuble Player in the league, if measured by his importance to the team. LeBron is the best player right now. It's a catch-22 in my opinion. I agree that it's either the Heat or the Pistons who'll come out of the East, but ..... <div align="center"> </div> Where did that come from? Raps in the Eastern finals??! As much happiness as this thought brings me, I think it's a long shot, but it ain't impossible. I hope that Sheldon Spencer's picks are the most accurate ...
lol, go Sheldon! Everyone who picked the Heat in the East, picked Spurs over Heat! That would be my choice too...but I can't see Shaq losing in the Finals again. Heat had a close game versus the Spurs in SA, without Wade. With Wade they should be able to win. But the Spurs are just so solid.
The Steve Nash for MVP campaign is officially on its way. Since the Lakers have no shot at the Finals, I'd like to see the Suns from the West against the Cavs. I think that would make for an entertaining fast paced game. They played one of the best games this year with the Cavs winning in OT. I'm ready for a change from the half court set plays and the big men going at it. We've already seen Shaq vs. Duncan, it's time for some new faces in the Finals. I want to see 50 three pointers in a game, I want to see fast breaks and alley oops, vicious dunks and shotblocking. Go Small Ball!
lol, if Sheldon Spencer also picked Matt Bonner to win ROY then something would be seriously be up..... I find that a few analysts have been overrating the Raps recently due to their winning record so far this month. They fail to realize that most of our games have been home games against sub-500 teams. btw, someone picked Grant Hill to win MIP...... is that possible? Can someone who was already a great player, gets injured for a few seasons, then makes a comeback, get MIP?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">There a better chance of Wilt rising from his grave than the Raptors making the conference finals.</div> neh, we're not all that bad....We're better than the Knicks, Nets and Celtics from our division...Well, maybe tied with the Celts.
I'm sure Spencer will change his mind once he finds out the Raps just lost to an exhausted Bobcat team (they played the night before)....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">neh, we're not all that bad....We're better than the Knicks, Nets and Celtics from our division...Well, maybe tied with the Celts.</div> I'm gonn have to agree...sort of. But I do have to agree that Spencer is the best writer.ever. Still, considerign what the Raptors can possibly do, I don't think its a long shot(depending on how they do within the near future) that hte Raptors can make it pretty far in the playoffs. And Spurs are gonna win the ring. I don't think there's any chance they won't.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bucher is god ... Arenas for M.I.P =)</div> Meh...he hasn't really improved, he's just not injured this season, and he defiantely hasn't had near the statistical increase of the other guys. Also he already won an MIP in his second season.
Sorry guys, but Sheldon Spencer is a retard. If the Raptors are in the Eastern Conference Finals, I will make myself a graphic say "Pure is the stupidest poster ever" and keep it there for a month. Gilbert Arenas is not going to get Most Improved Player, again. That is almost an insult, it's like saying he improved, got worse, and now he improved again? In general, I agree with most of the picks. If I were to mostly agree with one person, it would be Bill Simmons. Besides him picking James for Defensive Player of the Year, he was solid.
Go Sheldon Spencer! This guy is crazy to pick the Raps in the East Finals but hey he also picked my Suns to win it all, which isn't such a bad idea I am not sure that I can follow the Lebron for defensive player award though, not over guys like Bruce Bowen, AK47, Hughes, or Duncan. I also like the idea of having Antonio Daniels win the M.I.P, I think he is one of the most underrated players in the game today. He is a reliable point guard off the bench that rarely turns it over and is among the league leaders in assets per turnover every year, it?s rare you see a turnover by this guy, who is quite underrated if you ask me.
I'm very surprised to see nobody pick Ricky Davis for 6th man. Is his bad reputation getting in the way? Davis- 15, 3, and 3. Daniels- 12, 2, and 5. Radmanovic- 13, 5, and 1. Boykins- 12, 2, and 3. Stackhouse- 15, 4, and 3.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">neh, we're not all that bad....We're better than the Knicks, Nets and Celtics from our division...Well, maybe tied with the Celts.</div> Oh really? I guess we will just have to see where these teams end up at the end of the year.
I think it will be tottally unfair to Steve Nash if he ISNT M.VP, the suns sucked balls last year, and he has pretty much single handedly turned them around to the best league in the NBA, he's getting 10+ assists almost every game, he's scoring around 18-19ppg, and most of all hes the reason his team keeps winning, ok the other guys (Marion, Stoude, Q-Rich etc) are a big part to play and usually put up good-great numbers also, but with Nash out they lost 6 games in a row, last year they had the same team without Nash (and Q-Rich) and they were one of the worst teams. Nash deserves MVP, if he doesnt get it, then there is somthing wrong with the world. I say Lee Nailon for MIP, look at his stats last year compared to this year, hes improved alot.
Let's not say he (Nash) has totally turned around the Suns. Yes, without him, they would not being going anywhere fast. But, Amare Stoudamire has played such a huge role on that team. I think if you didn't have Stoudamire, the Suns would just be an average team. Also, they have Marion, Richardson, and Johnson. Nash has a lot of talent to work with, and I think we all know that. I'm not disagreeing he shouldn't or doesn't deserve to be MVP, because he certainly does. But, I won't say that he has been the whole Suns turnaround.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Oh really? I guess we will just have to see where these teams end up at the end of the year.</div> You guys need to stop it, neither of us is that good, the Raptors have been playing better lately mostly because we've been at home, but our whole division is garbage, the 8th seed team will probably have a better record than the Atlantic winner. Some of those guys had some bad MIP picks One guy had Bobby Simmons which was good, but Danny Fortson? Arenas? Troy Murphy? [Numbers wise, but he was already this good]. I was also surprised only one person picked Scott Skiles, but it's a three man race between D'Antonio, Skiles, and McMillan.
