if Blazers coach Maurice Cheeks decides to resign (like Stephen A. Smith from ESPN is reporting he might do very soon)

will it be a good thing?

i have to say yes.. the players know he doesn't have any power in the organization, and once that happens they can do what they want in practice and mostly anytime. they need a coach who disciplines more, who has more power through the organization and who can also create better offensive sets and better late game scoring opportunities.

what do you Blazer fans feel about this?

well i would like it if he could be an assistant coach. I have heard that Phil Jackson has said that Portland is one of the teams that he would like to coach.

The players wants cheeks to resign, and maybe phil might coach the blazers but if he had a choice to coach blazers or knicks then i think he would probably choose knicks.
