Since no one made a thread, I baked one up myself. So far we are playing great defense, with Ariza and Brewer both catalysts. Marbury is absolutely quiet which is the way I like it, which means more chances and plays for everyone else. I see us stealing a win if we can keep up the D and have Ariza break down the D some more.
Yeah, we have really increased the defensive intensity. I am quite pleased with the defense. Since Wilkens left, the defense has been remarkably better. I think the Knicks are just putting more effort on the defense. If they always played like that and lost games, there would be no problems. I hope they win tongiht though.
Uch. This is terrible, we can't hit a thing from the line (Below 50%), and as usual the defense collapsed. And to kick it off, we have our young star Ariza shining bright all game long - until he got injured and could barely walk off the court. Talk about a demoralizing game, not to mention the fact that with all these injuries and woes and such we are starting a 6 game road trip out west. This is by far the worst game of the year, and it was only made worse when we were doing so well in the first half and then got shut down in the 2nd half.
We all have our scapegoats here, but its obvious that injuries keep anything that we have going away from us. A healthy Houston, Hardaway...hell, even Tim Thomas and this team isn't nearly as bad as they look. (Trade Marbury)
Yeah this team has had some serious injury woes Houston Hardaway Crawford Tim Thomas Sweetney and now Ariza have been injuried. We just lost it in the second half. The Knicks start off smking but then they just lose it. We need to fix this problem. The Clippers I think will be a game that we most definitely have to win. We can't set off the tone worst. Let's get these wins that we should get. Pretty much everyone had a bad night.
No excuses can be made anymore, the team is to blame and that's that. The wholesale changes to the lineup in terms of trades that pretty much every Knicks fan has wanted have not happened. We were lucky to win the other night against Cleveland, if it hadn't been for LeBron James' absense, a blowout was on the cards. Tonight was as expected. I have stopped believing the Knicks can get a playoff place this season. For the other team to score under 100 and we still lose by 30pts is indefensible. As was mentioned earlier in this thread (and I believe I've mentioned it before) I think it might be to the teams advantage to trade away Marbury for a point guard more of the style of Nash or Kidd (i.e. looking for the pass ahead of the shot).
