The Lakers are deal last in the NBA in opponents' turnovers, and by a wide margin. Lakers opponents are turning the ball over 11.2 times a game. THat's almost one whole turnover less than the 2nd worst in the NBA ... What do you attribute to this?
Chucky Atkins and Tierre Brown are terrible defenders and the Lakers shoot from the perimeter too, often. The Lakers cannot stop dribble penetration and most teams do not fear Chris Mihm, so they go right at him. Also the Lakers dependancy from 3point land makes it easy for teams to run a fastbreak and prevents the Lakers from setting their defense and pressuring the ball. The Lakers are always on the wrong end of fastbreak points.
