What does everyone think of this, they said he got in an argument with Mitchell, and left the practice facility, and he's also been arguing with teammates who say he shoots too much, and that when another PG scores on him he wants to go back down and go one on one with them. Maybe Feschuk has found his new man... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He's the same guy who was kicked off his junior-college team after he, according to a 1997 report in the Los Angeles Times, dropped a weight on the groin of a sleeping teammate with whom he had argued. He's the same guy who faced misdemeanour battery charges twice in the late 1990s, once for beating up a neighbour who complained Alston's music was too loud, another time for striking a former girlfriend outside the weight room at Fresno State University. He's the same guy who spent a month in county jail after he refused to complete the anger-management course that was a condition of his parole in one of those cases; who spent the 1998-99 season on the NBA's suspended list because of his prolific entanglements with the justice system.</div> Alston's act far from a surprise A funny quote from the Slam Article <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Hey, I was driving down the street today and a guy comes up to my car and asks for money. And I was going to give him some money, but the light changed," Mitchell said. "He recognized who I was and he cursed me out, and at the end he told me it still was a bleepin' hockey town, and f--- the Raptors. "Two years ago, I would have put my car in park, got out and beat the crap out of him. That was me two years ago, seriously. Things like that p--- me off. "But I realized he was asking me for money, and he was standing in the cold with a sign saying he was hungry and I was driving by, so who really has it bad? I just let it go. But two years ago, I would have been tempted not to take it as well." </div> Rafer getting too emotional Rafer's madness mounts
I thought this guy was all smiles. I actually know someone who dated him in high school and she had said that he easily gets mad. Damn..
WOW! He is the T. Fleury of the NBA! ahah. I thought he was all smiles as well. now i look at rafer differentley nice post OG
2 seasons ago everyone seemed pretty disappointed at Grunwald (or Peddie) for not resigning Rafer in the off-season, I guess now I know their reasoning for such a move. It's too bad that he has such an attitude problem given the amount of talent he has. Hopefully he could mature, but then again, some people never change.
at this point, i still believe in rafer and i know he has a winning attitude and that's why he gets emotional...as for his private life, it shouldn't really count as to what he can provide on the court,... yes he's emotional, and yes he wears his emotions on the sleave, but i like to see players who give a damn and care enough to play with grit and attitude...now is it fair to compare him to fleury just yet..no...as far as we know rafer doesn't have any cronic addictions etc...but on the upside, fleury was an exciting player to watch and he could dictate the momentum of a game...rafer has the same talents... rafer seems to be a great team player and he is very supportive of his team...after all your point guard should bring out the best in the rest of the team (look at the Suns)... i hope this suspension just calms any differences that may have happened at practice and works out to be a positive for the team...

Coach Sam Mitchell challenged him on the statement ? not in a confrontational matter ? and Alston reiterated that he was done.</font></font></font></div> It paitns the whole scene ina different light IMO. I think that nothign big will hapeen for now. but we'll see how Rafer acts the rest of the season.
