<div class="quote_poster">Quoting R_ChutneY:</div><div class="quote_post">At least Rafer's explosions are for decent enough reasons. He's one of the few players who actually wants to live up to his contract and he gets a little too passionate about it sometimes. I think we should stick with him, cuz if we show him some trust he'll definitely play better for us. Loyalty from his teams has been the one thing that he's never had since he's been in the NBA (all of his old teams dumped him when his contract was up).</div> Wait, are you saying that Raptors didn't show him any loyalty? We did sign him to a 5 year deal worth $25 million you know.. I think that's showing some trust, considering we are going to be paying him close to $6.5 million in his final year when he's 32.
I actually love Rafers attitude. He's a competetor and he's very passionate and takes pride in what he does. He's not like Sprewell, going around and choking coaches. He's a good guy, sometimes he just overreacts and loses his temper, because he's such an emotional and passionate guy. I love the guy, but he needs to keep those bad emotions he shows to Sam, inside of him.

We placed a lot of trust on him with his new contract, and I don't think its fair to start thinking of trading him away yet. Its not like he's not giving his all. He's just a little too passionate about winning.

Anyone thing we should trade one of our swingmen, for a better back-up pg? or just wait until next year's draft and see what we get?
Don't worry, Babcock will pull off another trade before the trade deadline. It's clear that Eric Williams, Aaron Williams, Milt Palacio, Lamond Murray and Donyell Marshall aren't in the picture of Raptors' future and that they will be moved.
