However, I don't think the Sixers will ever give up Iggy just for Marshall, specially because his contract expires at the end of the season. <div align="center">...</div>
The Sixers won't even think of it, you could argue that Iguodala as a rookie right now is just as good and important to a team as Marshall, and that's as a rookie. It would just be idiotic.
Yeah, the source I heard from read said Babcock's offer was "unreasonable." I heard he wanted Dalembert and Iguodala. I think that is. I think the Knicks should Trade Tim Thomas and a throw in for all of them! In Live I have that, too bad not in real life.
Totally unreasonable. Marshall at this point of his career really has no where to go potential wise, while Iguodala is just gleaming with it. He's an incredibly fast player and always finishes to the hoop strong. Great rebounder as well. In addition to that, he has so many years ahead of him so there's really no point in trading Iguodala for Marshall who will only be good for a couple more years. Philadelphia is building the team around the young players and I think in a couple of years, Iguodala would be a crucial aspect of the future team.
Dalembert and Iggy for Marshall...buahaha Babcock would be lucky to get those two when he decided to trade Vince Carter. Donyell Marshall would be a nice addition for the 76ers, but I wouldn't give up more than a 2nd rounder for him at this point in his career. If the 76ers get him, he's just going to be a rental, because I doubt they would re-sign him in the off-season.
I think Donyell is worth at least a first-rounder. Shape, you mentioned second-rounder at most, but the Suns recently traded three young players with bright futures plus a second rounder for Jim Jackson, who is four years older than Marshall. If you take their stats from last season, Marshall was obviously the better player, and his size makes him an intriguing commidity, especially in the East. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone deal a first rounder for him before the deadline.
The Suns are gearing up for a Championship run, so I can understand trading those players away for JJ. The 76ers are fighting just to make the playoffs, so they don't have the same urgency as the Suns. I guess a late 1st rounder (20+) would be fair for Donyell.
Well a Suns second round pick will be one of the last 2 picks in the draft, so it's nothing special to them. The only teams that would give us a first rounder for him, are teams who are well on top of their conferences, and don't really need the pick anyways. One more thing added to Babcock's list of stupid things
i SERIOUSLY doubt that babs offered donyell for dalembert and iggy...for one he's not that stupid, for two the deal doesnt even work out contract wise, so why would he offer a deal that would get rejected by the league. the more realistic version of what happend was that he asked for EITHER iggy OR dalembert and some filler and they said no. fair play that iggy for yell isnt a good deal for philly since iggy is going to be something special...but isnt that how you bargain? you ask for what you wont get, and get counter-offered. i wouldnt think that babs is doing his job properly if he offerend donyell straight up for john salmons
Well you know what they say: "Reach for the stars and if you fail you will only fall on clouds" BTW that is a ridiculous trade either way for Philly. But I heard that Philly was offering a 2nd rounder and either Marc Jackson, Glenn Robinson or another filler for Marshall. Obviously these are not pieces that Babcock would want to add to this team either. Might as well keep Marshall.
Nice try Babcock, you should take your jokes to Comic View. But, back in the day this is the kind of stupid trade Billy King would probably make.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"He wants the sun and moon, everything else, too," said one league source.</div> Yeah this Babcock is desperate for talent. Hey well we know the Sixers managment in the past any they have done some wacky trades...but thank god they dropped this one.
its just a dumb rumour. He wouldnt ask for both and like og said, it doesnt even work under the salary rules. What do you guys expect him to ask for. There's no one else on the team thats attractive to the Raptors.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Need4Sheed:</div><div class="quote_post">This dude Babcock must be a friggin idiot. What the hell is the dude shootin up lately?</div> Do you believe everything you read? Even if it is listed as a rumour? ---- Babcock isn't stupid enough to ask for both of them. Billy is the one that contacted Rob, so obviously, the asking price is going to be higher than if Rob contaced Billy. Even if he did ask for Iggy, you got to start off high with your offer. If you ask for Dalembert, you'll probably end up getting someone like Salmons and Ollie. By asking for Iggy, you get yourself in posistion to trade for someone else with lots of talent, but not as much, like Dalembert. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Donyell Marshall would be a nice addition for the 76ers, but I wouldn't give up more than a 2nd rounder for him at this point in his career. Even if he's a rental, he's worth more than a 2nd rounder.
Nice try but Iggy is locked up here, at least for 3 more years. What could I say, you guys had your chance on draft day, and you picked a guy who I can't pronounce his last name.

At 290 pounds he's a boat load to handle if he can get his game on track.
The Raptors are crazy. They want someone's future for their past. Marshall is a great player but he's only a 5mil expiring contract, not 15mil. Those retards are gonna lose him to FA and will have nothing to show for him (nothing to show for their players, vince carter comes to mind)
