They average 126 ppg last season. It is like a circus on the court and it will be on ESPN tonight (January 3, 2005) on ESPN 9ET. It will be fun to watch if you have nothing to do.. [IMG]

I'm loving this game! Grinnel subs in five new players every 35 seconds, much like Loyola Marymount used to do. They have 18 players on their roster, they take a shot every 13 seconds (I think it's every 13... not sure), they shoot over half their shots from 3, and they don't play a lick of defense. It's one of the most entertaining and innovative gameplans I've ever seen. Definitely tune in, it's on ESPN2 right now.

It sure was something to watch; while I do not agree with everything they did, I did like the mass-subs. I would not do it every 35 seconds but I think if you do mass subs every 4-5 minutes or so, I think it could be very effective in any level of play. The offense seem complicated but probably very easy after a few practices in it. Shooting every 13 seconds is a good plan, but everyone seemed to get out of wack after they didn't get that shot. I also noticed they relied too much on the long ball, they was countless lay-ups they missed that should of been a sure two points or passing up a shot in the lane to get a three point shot. Their defense pressured the inbounds pass after that, it was a 2 on 1 break most of the time ending up with a lay-up or 3 point play. At the end of the game, I noticed that when they had to play defense they couldn't box out after the shot allowing the other team to get the offensive rebound and the win. I would have liked to have seen them play when their shots was falling and how the offense would really look like fire all pistons, but it was a very interesting game to watch.

It was fun to watch, I also agree on subbing 4-5 mins instead of 35 secs. I also agree it would be fun to watch them play when the shots did fall, but it was still fun to watch. That must be a blast playing though.
