Dorell Wright was taken off the Injured List & is now on the Active Roster. He did not play against the Cavs tonight but he should get some playing time soon. Can't wait to see Dorell play! He looked extremely happy to be out there with the team during the shootaround. Laettner was placed on the injured list with back problems. Newly aquired Qyntel Woods will be eligible for Saturday, but sources say he will remain inactive until he is better conditioned and accustomed to the Heat's system. He still looks too young to be playing in the nba. Whereas Lebron was like a man-child coming into the league, Wright still looks 17-18. Physically, he doesn't look like he can compete at a professional level. Only PT will tell. Miami is playing Golden State on Monday. It should be a blow-out win, so maybe Dorrell will see some time on the floor.
Well, we don't need him instantly... in about 2 years his body will be ready and he'll be a freak. Lebron is Lebron, and there will be hardly anyone else like him. Give Dorell credit, he's a great player, he just needs a bigger frame.
Ariza is playing, that's why, but Dorell Wright has more potential than an Ariza. I'd say he will be better than Ariza when it's all said and done. I'm happy he's been activated, I'd like to see him on the floor a little.
I can't wait to see Dorell develope into a decent player, I loved him coming out of high school but I think he could have used one or two years at Depaul. A lot of people are saying 'T-Mac II', we will see...
Wright, the first prep player drafted by the Heat, promptly caught nothing but backboard on his first two NBA shots, his lone attempts. "I was just nervous," he said. "I'm still nervous." LINK http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/basketb...fla-sports-heat To his credit, the first shot was from 40 feet away because there was 1 sec on the shot clock. It was good to see Dorell out there, even if he didnt score. During Dorell's first game as a Pro, in the Summer League, he scored 2 points in the first half because he was Nervous. Once he settled down he went off for 25 points in the second half !!! Let's give him some time & see what happens.
