<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">At about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Latrell Sprewell rose from first-class seat 6D on his Northwest Airlines flight back from Milwaukee and headed to his Twin Cities home.

Turns out he deplaned a few hours too late.

Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders benched Sprewell for the start of Wednesday's 108-79 loss to Phoenix for missing the team flight home from Milwaukee the previous night. Wally Szczerbiak started in Sprewell's place, though Sprewell was off the bench and into the game four minutes in.

"Spree, we had communication problems, and he missed our plane coming back," Saunders said. "We just didn't start him because of that."

Sprewell left Target Center without comment. There was no word as to whether he will return to his starting slot Friday against Houston, but all signs point to yes.

"It's not a big issue, really," Saunders said.

Cassell nicked again: Sam Cassell didn't play the second half against Phoenix after suffering a bruised right shoulder in a collision with the Suns' Quentin Richardson.</div>
