<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If any Timberwolves players have a hankering for old college times ? at least those who went to college ? Flip Saunders has a suggestion: Keep playing like this in day games. "I told our guys, we might have to go back to the college days and put guys in hotels the night before or something," the Wolves coach said after yet another lackluster matinee effort, Sunday's 94-84 loss to Sacramento. "We can't continue to play like this and just say we're not going to have energy in afternoons. We've been like this for four years." Last season, the Wolves lost five of seven day games. They dropped a 5 p.m. start this season to Toronto on Martin Luther King Day Jan. 17, and now the first legitimate matinee of the year becomes another deflating loss. Reasons? If they had any, they'd have fixed this by now. "It's a game on the schedule," Wolves guard Sam Cassell said. "You've got another early game next week. We can't keep using it (as an excuse), that we're playing in the daytime. The other team's playing in the daytime, too."</div> Source
The daytime games on Sundays after the football season has been a problem for a long time for the Wolves. It was not just last year. These guys need to sleep early like 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock for the day games the following day, but they are not used to sleeping very early a lot. It seems some of the guys can't even sleep.
